Rob Parker released?

Nooo wayyyy, noooo hoowwwww! LOL

I hate they got him tho....seems like Skip or SAS could've thrown their weight around to help him if they were really as tight as they claim to all be.

Rob Parker has mad credentials tho bruh

You can't see credentials through the TV. I just thought "Who the fukk is this ignant ass nikka?"

I knew he didn't play football or basketball because I actually watch those sports so I assumed he was an ex baseball player. :manny:

Difference is that the journalist is a conduit for the media organization that employs him. When you put a multi-billion dollar media conglomerate at risk credibility/PR wise, they're not gonna let that slide.

People in this country get more up in arms about hurt feelings than anything else.

Rappers and all that other shyt are entertainment, same with athletes, they're all tap dancers, but a journalist is expected to provide credibility and integrity, and in the instances where they're depended upon to play the role of a substantive editorialist, you're jeopardizing the brand at large if you say something inflammatory.

ESPN is owned by Disney. Truth be told they could do what they want. And as far as journalism/credibility/integrity goes , for that show, That ship has sailed long ago.

Who takes skip seriouly? SAS has repeatedly said nikka on air too.

He messed up once and he gets fired? Seems foul. Colin attributing single mother homes as the reason why some professional athaletes don't excel in big moments seems worse to me.

It's nothing to argue about. You are right. It just fukked up that he gets fired for saying something ignorant when rappers who appear on the show, whole career is based on that same ignorant stance.

No trust me, I hear what you're saying. IMO First Take is one of the biggest examples of contemporary psuedo-journalism that's running rampant.

I mean I love watching SAS and :skip:, but there is some degree of silliness to everything. People take that show way too serious.

I think it's because the cornball brother thing gained so much traction that they needed Parker to fall on his sword, it doesn't help that the media golden boy was the subject of his remarks either.

Also, i totally agree with you on SAS. When he said "nikka please" live on air that was one of the biggest :dwillhuh: moments. And then when he had the nerve to awkwardly address it in that little brodcast thing an completely deny saying it?

Like come on, how the fukk could you play that off?

"I said Jigga please not nikka please"

it's pretty simple

ESPN basically looked at their P&L and it doesn't take Timothy Geitner to know that their relationship with RGIII is more profitable than their relationship with Rob Cornball.
