I wouldn't say Asuka's jump to SD was inexplicable. She ran through the entire roster on Raw already and saw that the biggest challenge was Charlotte, not Bliss who would get utterly destroyed in an instant. I don't know if it was communicated that was on TV or not but that seems fairly obvious from a story standpoint, although it certainly makes the Raw side look like trash.
I have absolutely no complaints about the outcome. It was the right way to go long term and opens up a bunch of new (and better matches) on Smackdown. However, I'm a fan of logic and more importantly a good story. To me, it was not booked as good as it could have been which was the point of my previous post.
As the first ever women's RR winner, her decision should have been a major part of her road to WrestleMania. They started her out wrong with Ronda coming out to take attention away and they never really recovered from it. Having her get her feet wet with Alexa, then say "nah, I want the best now" was just lazy.
They could have had her lurking in the shadows on both shows from day one preying on both champs and it would have made much more sense and gave her storyline some continuity.
By not doing anything between her and Charlotte prior to her coming out at Fastlane, they basically hit the reset button. This only gave them 3 (and now 2) weeks to give a proper build on a Road Dogg booked Smackdown, which won't do anybody any favors.
