Why do you all act like it's only MAGA idiots not being vaccinated? I'm going to need some stats on this because from what I've been seeing vaccine hesitancy is high in communities of color and statistics show that we often suffer the worst outcomes when contracting severe COVID. Headlines showing MAGA anti-vaxxers telling people to get vaccinated on their deathbeds is good for clicks and discussions but that is not the whole picture. Making MAGA the face of the unvaccinated is actually counter productive because they are little more than cartoon supervillains at this point, not worthy of intelligent debate nor regard. Off to the ventilators with them and their unvaccinated ilk! Well, a lot of their unvaccinated ilk look like you and I (assuming you're black) and they aren't MAGA. I've seen firsthand how the conversation regarding the unvaccinated changes once the MAGA demographic is removed from the conversation and it is a lot more productive and informative and there is much less shaming, name calling and death wishing. I've had a hard time broaching the subject with unvaccinated loved ones because of the toxic nature of the discourse. Once they see I'm willing to have a conversation with them and not lecture, shame or name call them they are much more open to considering doing what is necessary to safeguard their health.

None of that matters, regardless of "the discourse" most people resisting getting vaccinated at this point aren't going to change their minds absent a personal tragedy. Opinions are set in stone. Once somebody goes down that Youtube rabbithole nothing will change their mind, truth be told. It's not like facts aren't out there and easily available, people are choosing to disbelieve them.

Although I agree that it's not just MAGA idiots against getting vaccinated (although a lot of it is them), most people here dislike them anyway so of course that's who we'd rather focus on.

You say that as someone who is on one side of the fence tut-tuting at the folks on the other side.

Somewhere along the pandemic journey, the epic fukk ups of global leaders has been hidden and now we are at each others throats over who took the vaccine and who didn't.

Ultimately, until conclusive studies come out showing the viral load reduction in the vaccinated then the argument is moot. The virus is endemic and the vaccinated still spread it, so why are we acting like people not taking the vaccine are the bad guys?

Again, I am saying this as someone who took the vaccine, but if you sat down and objectively looked at all the information we have been fed, you would have to admit that we all took a leap of faith on the vaccine. We are literally learning about this as we go along and hoping it all works out.

Regardless of viral load, the data IS out there conclusively showing that the unvaccinated are primarily the ones clogging up hospitals and making things harder for medical workers.

People have a right not to get vaccinated if they want, but it was inevitable that some people would feel a type of way about it given the situation :manny: people have to live with the consequences of their decisions

rural, uneducated whites are the most unvaccinated demographic in America

but vaccination rates largely follow education and QOL trends which is why I don’t think misinformation is doing what people claim, it’s just easier to see and spread it

Your larger point about who cares that magas aren’t being vaccinated is real. We all have loved ones around us that we encourage to get vaccinated and they share the same reasons on why they don’t as any other unvaccinated person

This seriously makes no sense. The people who are being sent to the hospital now are the ones who didn't get the shot. I dont think you would need a explanation on why clogged up hospitals are bad.

You're other flawed argument was skipping over the obvious fact that private sector jobs are making workers get shots on purpose to cover their own asses.

You are either being very emotional, trolling or only in here to argue with some of these posts

Not emotional. Nor trolling, but it would have been awesome to see people hold the government s to account the way they go after the unvaccinated.

That is all.

People don't like nor trust the government, or did i miss a massive movement of people saying please forgive the governments?
