Are all states shutting down gyms and restaurants yet?

Bit of context we heard about the virus in mid-January we went into the Chinese new year( a Chinese holiday where everything shuts down for a week) this Chinese new year basically was a week and a half off. The government told everyone to stay their ass home and not to travel during the Chinese new year and they add another 2.5 weeks coming out of that. Schools were shut down island-wide and only essential businesses were left open.

I was at home for a month and a few days doing work. So the quarantine was for about a month. I told my employees we are shutting down for those 2.5 weeks plus the week they had for the Chinese New Year.

I did a lot of work and a lot of reading.

We came out of the quarantine business was super slow to pick back up. Was super pissed at the time but it was the correct move looking back.

But we are right back at square one again. Supermarket cleared out again. As we are going through a second wave again. One thing this has shown me that I really need to get into the supermarket franchise business. Going through this a second time is beyond stressful daylight has been snatched away very fast!

You have any friends or coworkers who got it? Or was Taiwan spared some since its an island?

no gyms open out here and a lot of my friends in different states said even their apartments closed their building gyms.

Son this is the first day shyt is real. I been on several floors nurses is gowned up. PAPRs. On one floor damn near every door had the rule out papers and contact precautions on them. Alleged positive cases and residents on quarantine. I’m a little shook now

Im trying to get a screen shot uploaded but a nurse here in Pittsburgh posted on FB( so take with a grain of salt) they have 20-30 yr olds really sick from this but they cant test them because of testing guidlines. so they can confirm they have. theyve basically tested for everything except covid 19. this is ridiculous they cant just test anyone they think has it

A friend's daughter went down there against her parents wishes. They are so mad at her right now. She's a smart girl but still young and very dumb.

As far as I know, everyone is good health-wise. My fam over here and friends.

Taiwan honestly should be right under China in terms of infection and deaths. They learned a lot from SARS. A lot of direct flights to Wuhan and the amount of business that goes on between these two countries is insane. Even though China considered Taiwan a runaway province.

I give the government mad credit for not waiting to get on top of shyt. As soon as they heard people had the new flu in Wuhan they started screening flights immediately and sent doctors to everyone's homes who came from Wuhua into Taiwan before they even named the damn virus. They tested everyone for every damn thing under the sun SARS, H1N1, MERS. All people coming from Wuhua and surrounding areas.

As soon as it was clear what it was they stopped flights immediately and locked down hella fast. I'll add this to these people here are germaphobes, this whole freaking country is masked up upon something special it ain't like back home. Been able to convince a few cats in NY to mask the hell up though.
