I didn't say it was solely about Trump. I said you'd need a President that knows how to use the influence of the American government and a functioning State Department. We have neither right now.

And its not about being TOUGH. That's a bad descriptor. It's about using your power in right way.

America can use its spheres of influence through investment, diplomacy, arms sales, whatever, just like we've been doing for the past 70 years up until now(ie soft power) to stave their influence off. China is winning that war currently, and its a war we dominated at for decades even against the USSR.

You're acting like the world can run up in China's house and tell it to fukk off. Geopolitics and economics don't work that way. 30 years ago, the US could do something like that. Not now. Trump tried that stupid shyt with the tariffs to do exactly that and ended up needing to bailout parts of his own economy.

as someone in one of those states I can tell you there is a very dangerous sentiment here of "its not that serious" which is where Trump is getting this battery put in his back to open things back up

if he does do it you can almost guarantee close to six digits death figures and a re-shutdown in mid fall

Breh, we're exactly on the same page. That's exactly what I'm saying the United States should do.

We're in another Cold War and the U.S. needs to do what we need did to the Soviet Union and also do it to China now.

That's all breh :yeshrug:.
