Okay, we have all but have this under control over here. Second wave all but under control.

Yesterday zero new cases and today 3 new cases. So back too normal now. Jesus H Christ
13-week battle but done, knock on wood conquered and done.
:whew:

So the people crying about bringing back the old economy which will never come back, some remnants of the old life can come back but requires the country to mask the f up period!

Breh, I don't think one is coming, SARS came out in 2002 still no vaccine.

SARS never took out this many people so quick that turned into a worldwide pandemic. They already having clinical trials on a vaccine because too many people getting hit.

True, but those are trials and honestly that means nothing honestly trial #1 of thousands of trials.

We are talking about something that has been cultivated by nature for decades maybe even centuries and this year it had the right conditions for it to jump to different species.

The chance of science figure it out that fast or even figuring it out at all. Using previous track records provided by history means it ain't happening breh and if some miracle breakthroughs happen that surely ain't happening in 2 years.

People are optimistic but a vaccine will never come in 2 or 3 years, it's never been done that fast in human history.

This. I do think there will probably be a vaccine eventually, but not in the very near future. It's just not a fast process.

A year or two is possible but not probable even with a lot of people working on it. Realistically we might be a decade out.

We create the most innovation when an economy is on the line and our way of life is challenged, and that is what is happening here (think advancements after WWI or WWII from technology developed during the war). To me, everything in this world is based on economic outlook, and is cold about our world. If these numbers produced about 5-10 million people dying around the world and then everyone has herd immunity, they would do it and we would never have had this lockdown.

If Covid-19 was a debilitating disease that you manage with, they would come with "medicines to prolong life" and bleed a person of money till they couldnt get a dollar more (I am type one diabetic, I have heard about cures and science logic that makes sense for 10 years now, never comes... But they are emerging every day with sensors and pumps that help us manage it better, but we still pay that money every 3 months for supplies.)

But, Covid-19 threatens way of life, and it will mess up the money for those that have power. That cant be afforded, the number one phrase of the west world really is "business as usual" This is disrupting business, and you can bet every resource ever imaginable will be thrown to get this figured out to return to a way of life. Now whether thats a vaccine, or a treatment, or an efficient to save lives using technology by tracking, I dont know, but there is too much power to be lost by those who dont want to lose it to let this continue on for a prolong period of time.

Also, the testing is going to take a lot of risk and I am sure will be dirty.. We wont hear these stories though

How do you know?

When you see CEO and world leaders fighting the grim reaper, they know they gotta use their resources to find a vaccine if there is any chance of normalcy again. This pandemic is hurting their pockets too, and even they know that their wealth is useless if people who buy their products, died, and permanently lose their customers.

Another 2k+ day it looks like

yup already at 1500 with Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Massachusetts yet to report. NJ is saying they’re still catching up from Easter weekend and that’s why the numbers have been so high the past two days.
