In Italy they typically take off the label from your vaccine and attach it to your certificate in front of you since otherwise the doctor would need to put all the data in manually... At least we always know precisely what we get, serial number and all...
It's important to be able to trace the vaccine lot in case of serious side effects.

There are around 85k nursing home residents and 130k staff so most of them should be taken care of the before end of year
