That's not true, what if you stack but live in a Bronx jawn? There's so much real estate in NYC it's just mistaken for buildings but I can see how opportunities can be endless out there. If you multi faceted out there youd dab it up
Yeah live in the Bronx but get shot or have a long ass trek to work from a neighborhood with no real urban amenities. No thanks.

That's my entire point. In New York, you always need to make quality of life sacrifices that wouldn't be necessary almost anywhere else in the country.

I cant think of 5 things you can do in NY that you cant anywhere else that justifies its high cost of living
Yep

The funny thing is, the media has done such a good job of hyping the city up for 100 plus years that now most people are unpaid PR reps for a city they don't even live in. Or are struggling to live in.

NYC is a beast that will always feed itself.

This is the shyt I'm talking about. You don't know much about the BX at all. Where my family lives 5-15 minutes away from four major highways, a ten min walk from the train (which gets you to midtown in 40 mins), close to the metro north (which gets you to Grand Central in 28 mins), a major park, an indoor mall, another outdoor mall that is in the works, and an outlet mall in the pipeline.

Homes in the BX are going for 400k plus (and that is on the extreme low end). Many are going for half a mil and there are million dollar homes too.

Keep listening to these dweebs who never leave their block who push the idea that all the Bronx is a warzone.

I got the hook up from somebody that knows somebody, on a rent stabilized apartment. $680 for a 2 bedroom:dame:. I'm never leaving this place.

I am, but not right now.
Your blessed as hell.

Your also, if I'm not mistaken, a native New Yorker who has family and access to these types of hook ups. Which is dope. Locals aren't the problem.

I just have a problem with transplants that move to NY to "hustle" and end up raising the rent for the locals cause they get overcharged to live in a closet.

It's other places in the country to "hustle" and not put ones self through that bullshyt.

Think that two malls match the arts/entertainment/dining options of Manhattan and Greenpoint/Williamsburg/Downtown Brooklyn brehs.

If you're living in one of the "nicer" areas of the Bronx, you might as well move to Westchester and not pay New York City income tax. Also, you act like $400K for a house is a good deal. By NYC standards, sure, but in Chicago I could buy the dopest loft apartment in the best part of the city for that. NYC is garbage.

Where in the BX do you live? Pelhams nicer houses are well above 500k.

The only reason you're not paying the actual market price is because you're scamming the system. :mindblown:
If you couldn't scam the system youd be bytching about prices too, and probably have to move to Kansas. :dahell:
People like you are one of the main reasons prices are high over there in the first place, did you not see that article that was posted about people scamming affordable housing units? Then you got the nerve to sit up and talk shyt about people paying the actual costs :scust:
@biscuitsnbangers was right, you a straight scumbag. :smh:

That's not the point I was making.
to your other point, NYC's suburbs including Westchester have some of the highest property taxes in the country
Westchester County Assessment
Bronx County New York Property Taxes - 2017
on average you looking at an 8x increase:damn:
