I agree the folks saying it could be better as a series and a showrunner that comes to mind is Shawn Ryan (The Shield and The Unit). Even better if Kojima could work with him. So if Kojima gets a little too over the top, Shawn can tell him to chill.

A type of exposition in which one character repeats another, pressing them on something they just said. Sometimes this happens repeatedly, making one of them look pretty knowledgeable and the other pretty clueless.


This can easily be Truth in Television. Sometimes you just want a bit more detail. Worth noting that Japanese, the language that many examples are translated from, does this a lot as a mechanic of the conversational language.


Often done by The Watson. Compare Repeating so the Audience Can Hear, for when we can't hear the other side of the conversation, and Parrot Expo-what?, where the exposition is so shocking,sesquipedalian, or obscure that the other party can't repeat it.

Lol I'm saying breh I think that's his core audience first and foremost. Not us. Yes Americans love metal gear and we contribute greatly to its success but the Japanese market is the audience he writes for first
