The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
Whatever "grittiness" Mase had was just residual stuff from his murda mase days and wasn't what his draw or image was centered around by the time Puff was done grooming him for his solo album...Drake's current rnb hybrid style came along fairly late in his development (So Far Gone) and is based on trends that didn't exist back in the 90's, at his core he was originally a fairly standard issue post-jigga pretty boy swagger rapper....you build a time machine, drop off Comeback Season era Drake at Bad Boy studios in '97, and Puff makes him a star...slight gimmick shift is all that would be needed, same thing he did with Mase but from the opposite direction and towards a common center
Its easier to fake being a nice guy than a tough guy

To be fair Drake is probably what Puff was trying to mold Mase into being. Either way though he wouldn't run the game. Mase was like triple platinum but his lane was very narrow... nikkas hated Mase big time

No way he would have come close to running 90's rap. In fact, there's no chance in hell he'd come close to running 90's R&B while we're at it. Not with R. Kelly, Jodeci, Mary J, 112, Nate Dogg, etc. all in their primes

Would NWA have run the 2010s? :mjpls:
Would Pac or Big have run the 2010s? :mjpls:
No....

The limo liberal elite that currently police the industry would have accused them of being homophobic or anti semitic...

They probably couldn't even get a release date...Especially Cube and N.W.A.

Meeeh..or their whole type of steez would have been unwanted by 07 when the people made a conscious decision that they wanted less gangsta rap and more Kanye like topics

And things like social media and the current speed that information travels in this era making it easier for artists to get exposed for frauds

"
They take the greats from the past and compare us
I wonder if they’d ever survive in this era
In a time where it’s recreation
To pull all your skeletons out the closet like Halloween decorations"

This era almost demands that u put all of ur skeletons out the closet whether u want it that way or not..so no these artists would not have been able to run 2010

But ur reason is also a good reason too :troll:

Hell no!!!! Army fatigue suits and Timbs. He would have been Skee-Lo level and clowned as being a soft puppy.

He would have probably been thoroughly smacked up and would have been a male cheerleader waiting until the skirt, low cut v-neck era made it acceptable for him to have a voice.
