He wasted a few years in Phoenix standing in the corner like Bruce Bowen on offense.

I saw the potential in Joe back then.

I used to tell everybody Amare & Joe were the future of the Suns.Ahead of Marion & Nash(He was getting up there in age)

In retrospect, it probably wouldn't have worked out because Amare had the knee issues, but at the time, I thought Joe was the 2nd most talented player on the team.

In the limited times he got to showcase his skills, he was by far the best shot creator out there.I don't blame him for leaving the Suns.I think they tried to hide/give him a diminished role on purpose.Hoping they'd be able to resign for a cheaper price.

Joe peeped it and told the Suns to go fukk themselves...Mainly Robert Sarver

I was sad as fukk when he bounced to Atlanta.....Boris Diaw was on my shyt list right off the bat...."This French nicca ain't no Joe Johnson replacement:martin:"

But then Boris actually started to develop.....Still wasn't no Joe, tho

I just finished reading Jack McCallum's book ":07 Seconds or Less"

I think it's crazy how Sarver never got as much flack as OKC's front office/Clay Bennett for being cheap and not keeping Harden

It was like a difference of frontloading the contract for Joe and Sarver didn't want to pay that

Best thing that happened out of that deal, it probably saved Boris Diaw's career playing for D'Antoni

Lol how are you gonna say he's called "iso joe" for a reason and then say he doesn't have that "1 on 1 polish" like the elites? The reason why he has the nickname "Iso joe" is because he was one of the premiere 1 on 1 players in the league. And he converted on staggering percentages.

The entire Atlanta Hawks offensive circa 05-12 was centered around his 1 on 1 prowess.

Statistically iso joe is one of the greatest isolation scorers of all time.

Show me the statistics of him being one of the greatest isolation scorers. He is isojoe cause thats his game but not because he was this near all time level great at it. When I say polish his game wasn't unstoppable or game changing like some of the others. He was good but anybody thinking he had the skill set to be more than just a allstar is delusional.

jj had the skill set and physicality to be an all time great player, he just didn't have the personality imo. he seemed pretty reliable for the hawks and nets in terms of health. also was a monster on the defensive end when he was locked in.

Sounds like the type of stuff you say when you can't refute a claim. You have the right to your opinion tho
Look at the some of the elite perimeter players we've seen in the past 15 years.

T-Mac, Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Durant. Joe isn't as skilled as any of those players.

Wait Joe has a better skill set than Lebron tho

joe cand shoot 3's mid range and FT
Joe can post up
Joe can pass
Joe can run a offense
Joe can defend

And Joe got the body and height

It makes no sense why Joe not up there with the rest of these guys plus his game is pretty :troll:

No Joe doesn't. He isn't half the player James is.

He just didn't have the high intensity motor to be a elite #1, His game was perfectly suited to be a elite #2....he could have improved his legacy if he sacrificed but at the end of the day he accomplished goal #1 he maximized his earning potential and still a productive player getting 8 figures.....But he was far from the problem with those hawk teams, they where more effected by neither josh smith or marvin williams developing into top tier offensive talent to compliment joe and a more balanced offense....

No player in the last 20 years had more raw talent than Rasheed Wallace.

explain?.....sheed was more skill than natural ability.....

You've got him mixed up. He hasnt been just "good". Sometimes he's actually invisible. Sometimes he's respectable. And then sometimes he's dominant and downright unstoppable. So i dont think "good" defines him. Because he reaches levels that only superstar players can reach at times.

And he led the nba in 2010 with a 36.8% in isolation plays and converted on 39%. The next closest guy was carmelo with a 35.2% isolation grid and he only converted on 32%.

Iso Joe really was elite when it came to....."isoing"

Theres not any scenario in which Joe could have been all time great. Mental tenacity/toughness/killer instincts are are all skills you develop from focus and confidence. Joe didnt have it.
