Read the section about his Presidency, if you read between the lines it pretty much explains why the US got him out the paint. Liberia had plans on becoming more independent being that it already had a booming Economy, and did not want to be Americas stepchild anymore.

Yup, It was too the point where younger Indigenous people got on some Self Hate stuff and started to give themselves American names, and wouldn't even learn their native tongue in order to be "Qui" aka "Civilized", it`s wild. This also allowed Missionaries to come in much easier in the 50s-70s and get closer to the Indigenous people, as the Natives began to think the White Mans religion was sweeter and it would make them more Civilized like their Americo Liberian counterparts. Like now Most Liberians now are on some Southern Black Christian steeze, and can't even tell you a damn thing about their tribes history.
My folks are from there. They said the dude was helping out the country heavy.
what's your opinion of Johnson Sirleaf?Yea, he was the one who was going to transition Liberia to becoming a powerful and influential African nation that was independent. And regarding your other post its wild how corrupt many of the missionaires were from the stories my mom told me. They would be at their churches in America bragging about how much clothes they were going to send back to liberia and take pics with the natives smiling mean while in Liberia they made the native children there work as maids to be able to recieve the donations people in America sent. My mom literally raised alot of these missionaires children in her teens to be able to pay for schooling and such.
