Personally i love this trade for Cleveland if they can pull it off, this gives them huge flexibility both offensively and defensively.
Heres how the different Line ups and combinations would look.
"Big" Line up -
PG-Kyrie SG-Paul George SF-Lebron PF-Thompson C-Frie/Free agent minimum
This line ups strengths would include rebounding if they play 2 bigs in Thompson and another vet. Fry would add spacing if they play him in place of a normal center. The combination Of Paul and James on the perimeter means you can stick paul on the best perimeter player and let Lebron play free safety, thus increasing the defensive potential of both.
Want more defense, size and switching ability? check out this beauty.
PG-JR Smith/Shump SG-Paul George SF-Jefferson PF-Lebron C-Thompson
This line up is HUGE and possibly the best defensive line up for facing golden state. This to me would be the line up you can beat the warriors with. Ok not beat them but contend with them..
Wanna go small with shooters everywhere?
PG-Kyrie SG-JR Smith SF-Korver PF-Paul George C-Lebron
This line up has 3 people who can break down defenses as well as catch and shoot depending on how well lebrons shooting.
All in all i think Cleveland must get paul George at all cost other than givign up Kyrie as well. Even losing JR or shump is just fine because PG adds dimensions to Cleveland they cant even imagine right now.
It give them a super star defender and scorer next to Lebron who would also be the 4th best player in a series with the Warriors. Even though it would be a 1 year rental its a rental the cavs HAVE to make. They will be in finals again next year for sure, they must build a team that has a chance against golden state the rest of the league is irrelevant in this conversation.
What do you guys think? I think PG makes next years finals a 7 game series. Thoughts?
