Nuclear weapons play a large roll in this.......a society without someone to enforce laws won't work in the U.S. This country is entirely too fukked up

Cops aren't protecting nuclear arsenals....thats federal agencies.

Most local police men are not ever going to be in a violent altercation. I saw a list of the most dangerous jobs in America and being a cop wasn't even on there.

You talked about it being one of the most peaceful times in history. Those statistics usually refer to wars between societies which leads to massive death tolls. People in the U.S. Are far to fukked up to police themselves

I'm not quite comprehending what you are saying. Those statistics count any and all violence, not just wars. Americans are more docile than some of you are stating and the overwhelming amount of cops never have a violent altercation.

In the past people were less materialistic and there was more parody.
The concept of jail started during Roman empire, it's not human nature to just want to kill people or do something vile for no reason.
In the past if you killed somebody by accident you paid the family or became their slave for a period of time, or in some places they made you crawl the distance of half of France(which took from 1-3 years) to show your remorse. Most cultures had counsel of elders and judges, but not police. People policed themselves. Industrialized culture conditions people to think they can't live without

This hispanic guy I went to HS with is a police officer in the suburbs of Long Island and the last time I saw him he said his day on the job mostly consists of

Driving around in his car for no reason
Crossing kids coming from school
Hooking up with his GF
Lunch
Hanging out at the station watching TV

Yup. The vast majority of cops are expendable.

We have more gun violence and mass shootings than any modernized country in the world.... We suck as a nation when it comes to giving a fukk about each other.

The only people I trust in this country are my family and lifelong friends fukk everyone else I'm living in isolation if that shyt were to happen.

Of course not because of what the police force as a single entity represents. Without that, more people feel like they can do whatever they please, which leads to problems.
