im not a big fan taking guys that small that high, but one thing i'll give Waddle is he has a complete game. he dont get chumped for 50/50 balls, and is tough

his ceiling is Desean, gimme 7-850 yards, good returns a few long TD's this year and im happy

Waddle was the best receiver on that team but he got injured early. His speed is different while Smith looks undersized.

I would of taken Sewell though, oline would be finally sorted

I do think Sewell was the best value there

but it’s possible Tua had some insight into waddle

The one thing ND usually does good is produce OLinemen

the TE pick was eh seems like he’s exactly like Mike good receiver not much a blocker

but I guess another playmaker can’t hurt but I’m thinking was much better value there

so far draft is like a B-

Why didn't we go after Leonard Fournette . I do not mind drafting another pass catching tight end. This will allow us to go double tight end in the red zone with both being recieving threats. His college production seems okay to me. There is really not much left on the board.

Taking another TE is signaling that Gesicki's days are numbered. Especially when you take him in the 3rd round. That's a significant cost.

Smythe and Gesicki on the last year of they rookie contracts. One of them ain’t coming back (we know who that is) so the TE pick is the replacement
