The AFC East should be a battle this year.

Dolphins get Tua a playmaker, the defense a pass rusher, and some second round picks.

Can't believe the Dolphins ended up with two high first round picks from Houston these past few years.

Only this one was high. The first one from last year was the 17th pick if I’m not mistaken

Overall I’m not mad at the draft because I trust Flores and Grier.

I’m fine with not picking Harris at 18 if they felt DE was the more urgent need. Besides that the board fell the way it did and that’s that.

We’ll have to address the RB and Center position in free Agency when teams start cutting players.

But based on what I see

  • The safety they took at 36 was going to be their pick at 36 all along
  • Everyone loves their TE pick. The one named Long.
  • They had to move up to get that OL because they liked him and felt other teams were about to make a run on OLs at that point.
  • They got the playmaker (Waddle) all along outside of Pitts

The pick: Hunter Long, TE, Boston College (No. 81)

Long was one of the most productive tight ends in the country last season, and he's probably already a better blocker than Dolphins starter Mike Gesicki. He's a complete tight end. I love this pick for Miami, which is trying to help Tua Tagovailoa in Year 2.

I also like the Dolphins' selections of safety Jevon Holland (No. 36) and offensive tackle Liam Eichenberg (No. 42) in the second round, though they both went a little higher than I thought they would. I'm also knocking Miami just a little bit because it had to trade a 2022 third-rounder to take Eichenberg. Getting a steal with Long, though, is good enough to have the Dolphins here.

I hope we dont get into the habit of constantly trading picks. I wish we would have taken a chance on Dylan Moses and Shaun Wade there.

It’s late in the draft so I see where you coming from but I doubt Moses would’ve amounted to anything. Dude is overrated

Seems like he takes pass block seriously too

I only watched a few and didn’t see the blocking players.

one thing I’ll say is he seems to have very good catch radius. Catches a lot of awfully overthrown balls
