And that was with no running game and a makeshift O-line that was average at best. If Clemson had LSU's O-line and running game they would have played in the playoffs. And if LSU had Watson then y'all would have been way better on O...no doubt.

I just wish he didn't tear his knee up. He has the potential to be Jameis Winston in the pocket and RG3 on the run. SPECIAL TALENT.

Hopefully he can return 100%. He was my favorite young QB before Joshua Dobbs emerged for my Vols.

I think as Clemson fans...some of us talked shyt about Tajh for his WTF were you thinking moments but didn't realize how tough he was. He was rarely injured and never bad enough to miss a game. I still remember that LSU bowl win where after every pass i was looking at the screen like :damn: thinking he wasn't going to get up after some of those hits.

Now this year...Cole hair got messed up and it caused his shoulder and confidence to go all season... and Deshaun has got some fluke injuries that's going to make me go :lupe: every he takes off and runs next season. How do you leapfrog a NC St defender for a touchdown with no injury...but break your thumb by just falling to the ground vs Louisville going out of bounds. Then vs GT after running all over them and looking like we are going to march down easily and school...on a simple QB run with no contact he blows his knee out on a cut. I just don't get it....Because see....we are raw at QB... it's Deshaun...Nick "i can't throw a screen pass" Schuessler [if you saw the bowl game vs OK you'd know what i'm talking about] and 2 freshmen with different skill sets and are both raw talents.

Maybe that'l motivate Mike to go back to the drawing board and re-learn football in 2015. We've picked up some good DB recruits that need to be developed properly.

Has Mont ever called a defense before though? Even if he does well this year, he probably wont leave that soon....but we'll have to pay him b/c he's recruiting very well.

Monty got a raise this season and that Co-DC position in earlier last month for the stand-up job he did. The perception is out there now that Venables was the mastermind and Mike is inept. Mike did a lot of damage to his defensive reputation. Mike will be at OU until Bob is shown the door. Bob will walk before he is forced to fire his brother. Schools will give Monty a look if OU fixes it's problems. He's a hell of a recruiter; that is worth it's weight in gold. He'll get a chance somewhere.

I said this on Landthieves and dudes on there didnt want to hear it.

But Venebles was the un-sung DC at OU the entire time from 1999 thru 2003 and then the main guy thru 2011. Mike Stoops got all the credit.

IMO, Venebles downfall came b/c Bob still has his own defensive philosophy and wasn't wiling to change much.
