As we all know All In is around the corner and with that comes a binder of WWE programming to compete with the flagship show.

The reaction is expected by wrestling fans is a interesting one. You have one side calling "not fair" while the other going  , but isn't this what wrestling fans wanted?

Remember when Tony Khan was all in (no pun) the videos talking about WWE and even popping shots on TNA television?

How you a booker and CEO that will not take this shyt no more, going to look like Bobby Brown jaw in the face with the sudden news of three damn shows shoved up the ass? You tough right?

In the immortal words of a snitch from a Harlem territory "nikkas get counterprogrammed every day b"

Remember Starrcade having to deal with Surivor Series being thrown together off a whim and on national free TV on Thanksgiving?

Remember WCW spoiling taped Raws?

Remember MLW and NWA getting raided to shyt?

Remember Triple Haggish dropping his nuts on the UK scene?

This is big business...sucks but if you were a booker, you can't lie and say you wouldn't do the same to your competitor? Don't bullshyt me with such a lie :francis:

Spoiling a show or throwing shade in promos isn’t the same as running events the same weekend as the other company. It reeks of desperation, pettiness, and gives more power to the other company knowing the opposition wants to do that.

From AEW fans perspectives, I haven’t read anything close to them saying “not fair.” Dudes are cracking jokes over how Klansley and TKKKO have been pushing their pettiness into overdrive. :mjlol:

I don’t recall Cokeboy ever doing this back in the day with PPVs.

Do two football games hurt each other being played at the same time?

Basketball Game?

Baseball?

Why is it a problem when two Wrestling companies run a show at the same time

Nobody has a problem with every Indy company running a show WM week at the same time

You either go to one or the other

Fans of both will find a way to watch both

Two major companies running shows on the same day just shows how healthy the business is

Exactly, however the indies are more of a weird Voltron dynamic when it comes down to WM season.

They will have a bunch of shows feeding off each other as most of the featured wrestlers work for the different promotions.

Hell the Puro promotions treat counter programming like Tuesday to the point they even work together.

If the marsupial gave a damn and a wrestling head like before, I would be eating more ways than one.

I'm talking a triflecta of Pawgs and Black tings from 4 different shows at almost 10 to 15 hours of content.

That was considered a buffet before this us Vs them shyt.

Wrestling fans that just watch wrestling period. Will watch one live and watch the other later. Some may choose to just watch one and read the results for the other to decide which they prefer to watch. I think most of the people on one side of the "tribal" war are going to just watch their preferred show anyway. I think where there is a potential impact is that it might hurt the initial days PPV buys. Meaning the AEW show being counter programmed might cause some people that were going to pay for it to watch the free/subscription offering by the WWE instead. Then either decide to buy it later or not based on what they hear.

Trying to use real sports for play fighting is wild. Each team has their own market in a city/state with some fans out of state/country tuning in to the team they like whereas a wrestling company is global that every fan tunes into the show they enjoy. There aren’t 30 wrestling companies on tv. :skip:

Great for the fans. Changing your time or running away from it is some p*ssy shyt.
Aside from loading up the cards, and AEW has never needed any external excuses to load up a PPV card, how does it benefit fans by cramming in a bunch of shyt all over the same short period of time?

It’s basically creating a scenario where you’re going to inevitably limit the visibility and engagement with the content. Only sick freaks and people who have to watch it for their job are going to be watching all the AEW and WWE content on that July weekend.

So you’re going to completely ignore the Monday Night Wars proving that all to be incorrect?

It's typical promotional wars :yeshrug:

Reminds me of when the game Last Epoch came out with this big season a month or so ago. Next thing you know, Blizzard dropped a big ass update for Diablo 4, while Path of Exile 2 got a big season.

Most of the gamers had their bibs including the marsupial to feast on the game. Not once did heads go "OMGZ OUR GAME IS GOING TO DIE!!!"

No different from a rapper dropping a diss record on his opp's birthday.

Its all competition. Yes the game is fierce, but the game is the game. If Snowboy somehow cooks with All In (which imo, he will because come on...All In), it will put more eyes to his product, along with passing the test of being the closet thing to Turner in the 90s. If he folds, that's more on him not taking the heat that comes with the kitchen.
