TKO is pretty much gonna run shows opposite AEW until the end of time at this point :mjlol:

One of the reasons I believe they run smaller cards for PLEs now so they can stretch content.

If AEW feels threatened in anyway just keep improving and putting out heat. Nothing else they can really do about it.

It's destructive......to NXT. It shows that NXT isn't really "cared about" within the TKO executive room because if they really cared about NXT they'd be trying to hype it more and give NXT it's own weekend. So basically we got guys like Trick and Oba who they are putting in random ass places at random times. Another example of Triple H being :mjpls: by not giving these guys their own night.

These guys are WWE fans through and through and even they are saying it's bad for NXT

It's typical promotional wars :yeshrug:

I thought WWE didn't care about AEW though? What's funny to me is that Tony Khan's cokehead ass has been quiet all year and it's actually people at TKO who have been referencing the "competition" over and over. Hunter should be focusing on his own programs cause a lot of it's been boring us..

WWE forever wants to be the only game in town and so off principle I'm completely opposed to all their tactics. Just the way it works :yeshrug: . The playing field's different because AEW is playing with house monehy and has to do a lot just get on the radar -if you're a smaller brand trying to get equity in a field you kinda HAVE to have a scrappy attitude to get noticed, but when big brands act that way it just feels like bullies. That's just life, the family business mom & pop that is WWE will be okay just cuz some people call out their tactics:skip:

As we all know All In is around the corner and with that comes a binder of WWE programming to compete with the flagship show.

The reaction is expected by wrestling fans is a interesting one. You have one side calling "not fair" while the other going  , but isn't this what wrestling fans wanted?

Remember when Tony Khan was all in (no pun) the videos talking about WWE and even popping shots on TNA television?

How you a booker and CEO that will not take this shyt no more, going to look like Bobby Brown jaw in the face with the sudden news of three damn shows shoved up the ass? You tough right?

In the immortal words of a snitch from a Harlem territory "nikkas get counterprogrammed every day b"

Remember Starrcade having to deal with Surivor Series being thrown together off a whim and on national free TV on Thanksgiving?

Remember WCW spoiling taped Raws?

Remember MLW and NWA getting raided to shyt?

Remember Triple Haggish dropping his nuts on the UK scene?

This is big business...sucks but if you were a booker, you can't lie and say you wouldn't do the same to your competitor? Don't bullshyt me with such a lie :francis:

In all fairness, that debt has already been paid though. I mean technically Nick Khan just did the same thing past WM.

Also, AEW has never pull this move on them and even on record has stated they werent going to do it as they don’t do shows on WM week like everyone else.

I do think some of their side probably are saying “no fair” but many more are like :yeshrug: at this point.

You didn't think that :heh: You just trying to be ironic or throw a jab to WWE stans :russ:

WWE been in war mode since at least 2020, and they've been winning easily since 2023 :manny:

WWE been on fire but AEW revenue is also up something like 150% from last year so the counterprogramming isn't doing anything
That's has nothing to do with them being "at war" :mjlol: . If a tactic isn't effective it doesn't take away the fact that is still a typical promotional war tactic. What WWE is doing for All In weekend is a Vince move from 40 years ago :dead: if it works or not it's a completely different discussion.

It's definitely something Vince was doing but that's why TK said then isn't now. Jim Crockett ran out of money after some poor business decisions.

TBF they couldnt do a gotcha move at all giving the juggernaut of the WWE.

Hell there's fans that still trying to figure out what happened to Daniel Bryan. Also even though they are technically the 2nd top promotion in the states, they still trying to get their feet wet in the industry.

I would say once the booking becomes serious, the balding Bucks fukks off, and some big star energy pops off ala 2021/22, thats when it's safe to be Petty Tony.

Until then, it's all about taking the fierce heat of counterproduction as a love tap, while you work on your jabs.

Na I don’t that…. the line between casuals and diehards isn’t what people think it is.

If folks was watching for the last 15 years and was Daniel Bryan fans, they are aware of where he is and who he is. Them internet algorithms are something else and keep folks tapped in

The people that don’t know who Daniel Bryan is didn’t know who he was from jump and probably didn’t start watching till the last year or so like a Tom Segura who has shytted on WWE.

I think people need to start looking at things as they are vs what they were. The “big star” thing. I don’t think we will get to the point where there is a Hulk Hogan Rock type guy that’s is global like that.

True.

Right now, we are in this weird transition of the business that will be welcoming to the core fans, but fans of influencers. Dub got the core wrestling fans (ala how UFC took the Attitude Era fanbase), while WWE is focusing on the gen z and Lapsed Fan approach.

Sadly, it's not the top wrestler being the draw anymore, it's the brand name and what the card looks like.

I really don't see why wrasslin fans get so butthurt about counterprogramming.

These are businesses in competition. They supposed to try to step on what each other does and shyt on each other.
This...

Talent raiding is one thing which is some ho shyt, but if I have a promotion that racks the racks, and another promotion dropping their big event, of course I'm dropping a dime on em :mjlol:.

Heads would clutch pearls with the amount of shady shyt that popped off during the NWA peaked era.

At least folks not putting hits out on each other.
