Welcome to another FLim Flam productions inc./LLC post​

A lot of fuss has been made over how I now will come with 8gb of GDDR5 RAM and that is a good thing as long as it doesn't cost YOU too much money.
But people blindly think because they have a faster RAM setup that it automatically means faster RAM delivery which is FALSE. I've asked @Rekkapryde for the last two months to explain why the PS4 getting and extra 4gb of ram helps and he has dodged the question everytime. I've also asked the question WHY would PS4 need more RAM if every developer seemed happy with the 4gb version

I can explain that by explaining how RAM works in both systems. Without getting too technical, I'll explain it in a way that everyone can understand.
Imagine a highway. The internet when it first hit was called "The information super highway "
Well imagine a similar super hwy of sorts carrying information back in forth on two lanes. Thats how the PS4's RAM moves. And all this is dictated by the GPU. You could have 100gb of RAM, what matters is how fast can your GPU read it, and how MUCH it can read at a time.

What the PS4 can do is move a certain amount of info very fastly, and adding 4gb of RAM this late would mean they would need to change the GPU for the upgrade to matter. Thats extremely unlikely. Months ago psfanboys said it was too late for xbox to change anything, well

The Xbox One however uses GDDR3 and has 8gb of RAM in it. The way that RAM set up works is more like an 8 lane highway but has a slower speed limit than the PS4's 2 lane highway. What matters is how MUCH TOTAL info can be moved from point A to point B, not which can move from point A to point B the fastest. That my friends, is the flaw in the PS4's design. This may be something people want to debate, but the proof is in sony increasing there ram from 4gb to 8gb. Why do that NOW all of a sudden with all the great pub and supposed dev support/happiness with it already. Since it was built with Dev input the entire process, if they needed more RAM that would of already been communicated, not something they decide to go forward with 2months ago

If they change the GPU, its a new ballgame. If not? The benefits of 4 more gigs will be minimal at BEST (Story Tru)

I've noticed a few posters talk about how the PS3 is getting support, but reality is the lames who stan systems make up there own realities. GT6 is coming out this fall, and Last of Us is coming out soon. Will either of those games be better than the multiplat games heading to both systems? No. But after looking at all the evidence, its clear Microsoft has plans for the 360. For one, Stingray is the codename of the new $100 xbox that will be revealed tomorrow. What leaked a few days ago but has not been discussed on Neogaf (which is why it hasn't been talked about here yet) is the fact that the New xbox and the old xbox will share the same Xbox Live. You can message gamers on the 720 from your 360. Or if you have a windows phone you can message your friends from that device as well as long as its a WP8 device.

Now I bring this up for a reason. Why would they do all that if they didn't have plans on supporting the system moving forward? Just like why Grand Theft Auto 5 is not a launch title for the next gen, that same reason is why all 3rd parties will support the ps3/360 until what happens? Until sales fall off. And last time I checked, the 360 was the best place for 3rd parties to make a profit at. Will they have any "exclusives" and will the ps3 exclusives be better than next gen titles? I for one do not give a shyt because I am the next gen. I wont be looking back. I am a little confused, because the same dudes talked about how backwards compatibility isn't a concern. But I'll leave that topic for another thread. PS4 + 8gb GDDR5 = Flawless Victory!!!
