I truly don’t know what people expected.. “We don’t know how it got here” there’s people who left China that were infected and they are now in other nations.
when Wuhan was having its initial outbreak, everyone should have, across the board banned travel to and from China. Sounds harsh but it might’ve worked
China’s government goes extremely hard, and the draconian measures that they are taking regarding quarantine might have been enough to isolate the virus..in a similar way to SARS. People in China still would have died in the low thousands but we might’ve been able to avoid the pandemic.
Now there’s nikkas running around in several countries unknowingly spreading it.. it’s no way to stop travel from multiple nations with varying timelines so it’s know way to stop a virus this transmissive from spreading. shyt is so frustrating

Here’s an interesting 40 min video from 2004 documenting the SARS outbreak.
pretty interesting since this is essentially SARS v.2 (hence the name SARS.cov2)
SARS was less contagious but deadlier (roughly 9% case mortality) but the same line of symptoms starting with fever, cough, and shortness of breath and then potentially leading to pneumonia.

that's interesting. seems to imply there is a local outbreak there, at the very least people are getting it not just directly from people who have returned from China.

More information about potential origin is coming out, and includes connection to American researchers/scientists on U.S. soil, Chinese government funding, and Wuhan scientists, and goes back to 2015.
More researchers are saying this definitely not natural, but has signatures showing lab made.
Talk about ability to stay on surfaces for several days, so think about Chinese manufacturing coming back online.
Chinese soldiers are catching it.
Chinese fleeing to Vietnam.
Beijing being proposed for shutdown.
Saying it can be aerosolized from fecal matter, so if you flush the toilet, it's in the air.
Talk about viral recurrence even if initially healed.
Saying it is scarring organs.
Cluster in Washington state.
Saying people on cruise ship who were told they were good but in quarantine in U.S. now are catching it.
