This channel seems to be dedicated to disparaging China. China certainly has its problem but I would be skeptical about such biased content.

I believe they’re a Christian Chinese organization or something. They have a newspaper too. I see it all the time outside of Penn Station.

Video: New York Medical Doctor: Is COVID-19 Really ARDS? Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome? It’s Not Pneumonia?

By Cameron Kyle-Sidell

An interesting analysis by Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sidell, emergency medicine physician based in Brooklyn, New York, affiliated with the Maimonides Medical Center.

In all fairness, I didn't actually watch this video the first time I commented since I've been admittedly skeptical of a number of doctors using this situation to get their own info out there and say that they've found the something that works in EVERY CASE or is guaranteed to be effective(HCQ+Zinc, HCQ, HCQ+Azithromycin, etc) when from personal experience I just haven't seen it play out that way. We definitely need more accounts from people on the frontlines, and it's always important to think critically when taking care of folks especially when things don't make sense, but I might say each individual on the vent is getting managed on a case by case basis and not everyone is getting treated like ARDS because not everyone has or develops ARDS. He also admits that there is likely still a role for ventilators but questions the way we are using them, which I agree with.

some things im noticing. We need to give patients fluid which we haven't because think its ARDS and you dont give fluid in ARDS. This lack of fluid causing pre renal damage and we chasing it too late. We also should be giving anti-coagulation as I think there may be a huge vascular component to this disease and people dying because of pulmonary embolisms. I have one more idea but ill keep it hush hush since i may want to write a paper on it :smugbiden:
If you have ideas, we need them. It's real out here.

yikes with Japan increasing as well

Not surprising. I thinks it a situation where as things open back up the people who weren't immune are just going to be a part of the next wave of infections. They didn't gain any additional immunity while in quarantine so they are still vulnerable. I think they are stringing us along with these 2 weeks at time, 30 days at a time assessments, etc. But until there is something in place (effective chemoprophylaxis, treatment, or vaccinations that have been proven effective) that can help prevent this stuff we are going to be (or should be depending on who you ask) on lockdown.
