bubonic plague is always around. You can get them from touching armadillos and still get them from rats. Its not really a concern anymore though because its very easily treated with antibiotics.

These folks wanting to shift attention to China trip me out. Folks, meaning American of course.
If we had handled this shyt seriously from the start and despite that seem to suffer I'd be more sympathetic to focusing on China right now. But these folks want to have it both ways. OK China is a horrible distrustful dictatorship and should be held accountable for bringing the coronavirus to the US and ruining our economy. But these same folks scoff at any attempts to control it such as mandatory masks or school closures and in fact through their attitudes make it spread further. On one hand want to pull "he did it first!" but at the same time do fukk all to fix the Situation Now. Got people in that "Wuhan wave" thread acting all bitter because they are having pool parties in Wuhan, after doing a full lock down for 71 days but can't even agree that Americans shouldn't be crowded on top of each other in schools and bars.
nikka, the time to blame the Chinese has long passed. This is all American do nothingness and ignorance fueling it now. Take responsibility for the unique American failure before worrying about he Chinese. Because the Chinese aren't going to fix your stupidity for you.
