Keep in mind that the vaccine roll out incentivized 'getting back to normal'. Meaning the vast majority of people who got it early on did it so they could could ditch the masks and social distancing measures. That was the reward! They even put up little signs everywhere to let you know that if you're vaccinated you can now breathe freely and show off your pretty smile again, just like old times.

Til the cases started going up.

:lupe:

Now...a lot of those people who were off to the races get told that they are in fact not immune, are still contracting and spreading the virus, are going to have to put back on masks and already get back in line for another round of shots.

Word!

That’s why I’ve always said I’m more Leery of the vaccinated then I’m of the unvaccinated.

The “Trump boogie-man” rhetoric was used to paint the picture that the unvaccinated and Trump extremists went hand in hand, so those were majority who weren’t wearing mask and being reckless, when in reality that’s probably a small percentage of ppl.

I have a membership to Six Flags for me and my kids. We masked up and took all the precautions when we go. Prior to vaccine, Six Flags had a strict mask policy, and the works.

Once the mask mandate was lifted, within a month less then half the park was without a mask on, on our visits…That wasn’t due to the unvaccinated.

If they were just flat-out honest from the beginning I would’ve been vaccinated by now..but I see it on this very board, I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but something ain’t right. I see the agenda and rhetoric being pushed

Sounds like you need to take a stats course :manny:

You sure about that?

3 leading COVID-19 experts say there isn't clear evidence that healthy, vaccinated people will need booster shots 8 months out

In announcing the new recommendations on Wednesday, the CDC shared a few data sets that influenced its decision.

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky referenced data from Israel and New York, as well as a preprint from the Mayo Clinic, that showed protection from the vaccines waned slightly over time. One study found that the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines were 75% effective at preventing infection in nursing homes in the spring, but by summer, with Delta spreading, they were 53% effective. Another study found that the two vaccines protected very well against severe COVID-19 and hospitalization for up to six months.

So tell me how I need a stats course if the CDC is using the same data and information that Israel is using :jbhmm:

Well, since Delta changed the game, children and those under 50 years old are the primary carriers of COVID infections & hospitalizations......something vaccination would have prevented if more people got the shots initially when Alpha was running rampant.
Delta formed in India?

You need to take a stats course. Not even stats. Just like 8th grade math again. You fail to understand the concept of denominators, and percentages. Didn’t even read what you pasted there. “Experts” fail to see data that anyone not a geezer and vaccinated will need a booster

If the mods didn't delete the COVID thread in the Bushes, you could have come in there and saw that Israel was one of the most "vaccinated" countries in the world. Viruses evolve. With the way this one is increasing it's infection rate, it gives credence to it being engineered in a lab.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
O.T.I.S. said:
And the numbers of unvaccinated represents a low percentage as well..

Not NEARLY as low as vaccinated.

O.T.I.S. said:
And to be honest, they’re lying again. They’ve already admitted they lied and haven’t been tracking “breakthrough” cases because they felt like they didn’t need to.

There's no 'lie' and nothing to 'admit'. The CDC posted on their own site they were focusing on hospitalizations and deaths REGARDLESS OF CAUSE....

COVID-19 Breakthrough Case Investigations and Reporting | CDC
As of May 1, 2021, CDC transitioned from monitoring all reported vaccine breakthrough cases to focus on identifying and investigating only hospitalized or fatal cases due to any cause. This shift will help maximize the quality of the data collected on cases of greatest clinical and public health importance.

Each State has been keeping their OWN data available for ALL cases.

In that case, don’t bring up information from other “experts” when trying to argue a point then :mjlol:

Coli brehs on here swear they know more than the experts :laff:

Well, when you know math, you know more than most here :manny: more speaking to the point you don’t even fully read or understand what you regurgitate, than giving much credence to what 3 people said. The “data” these people are using is based on the pooling of young and old in a highly vaccinated populous. That leads to false results of overall risk for anyone who’s not elderly. Hence idiots thinking the youth need boosters. If you are under 60 and vaccinated you don’t need to do shyt but get vaccinated and go on with your life with microscopic risk

The data and information came Israel, which the US used to make the determination that the booster shot was needed……….

I hope you do realize that you downplaying the numbers and statistics I’ve posted does nothing but help fuel anti-vaxx narratives for people who are already skeptical of the vaccine and information given to you.

You’re proving my point from my first post in this thread without even realizing it.
