My risk is not equivalent of some 70 year olds risk, despite us both being vaccinated. Matter of fact, a unvaccinated 30 year old has much less risk than a vaccinated 70 year old. The data pooling every vaccinated person together is not a factual representation of the overall risk assessment to the average vaccinated individual. Dude keeps saying someone is 'downplaying the numbers' but keeps overlooking the HUGE 99% of vaccinated people who don't get infected/hospitalized/die from COVID.
Somehow, I think he forgot that the vaccines were never 100% effective for 100% of the population and breakthrough cases were expected, so, if ANY vaccinated person gets infected/hospitalized/dies from COVID, that's evidently something that should have been stated from the beginning.....WHICH THEY ALL DID.

The purpose of me posting that link was a source of information detailing where the CDC got the information from that the booster shot was needed. That’s literally why I posted specific information in that comment I made

Let’s not sit here and pretend like doctors all over the world haven’t been given out conflicting between each other at every turn. It’s literally one of the reasons why a lot of people are as skeptical as they are.
I could find information about 5 other doctors that give the green light on the booster shot to dispute the other 3 that were in that article.
The main takeaway from this information is thst the vaccine is only one tool in the box when it comes to fighting the pandemic, it's not enough on its own to stop the spread of the virus. Governments need to bring the numbers down by mask mandates and social distancing measures in addition to vaccinating large parts of their population. And since this is a global pandemic, fighting it needs global cooperation, so the hold your own nuts approach by rich western governments where they are buying up all the available doses and then squander them on a few weeks of no masks and open Restaurants isn't going to work unless they are ready to close down their borders indefinately and provide their population with booster shots every six month
