Not doing a victory lap but I sure as hell feel safer here in NY with our govt than freaking Florida or Georgia.
I agree 100%! I live up north as well and feel safe where I'm at. Current steady low numbers is a great thing of course. Yet no one place is fully in the clear. The trends of this virus shows this nationwide and worldwide.

I just got tested this morning. I Paid for immediate results and it came back negative.
I’ve had a minor sore throat for a few days and was very confident it wasn’t Covid but I got tested anyways

Where do you live, if you don't mind me asking? I got tested a few weeks ago, they said 3-5 days...shyt took a week :stopitslime:

Right outside Detroit. I think only certain places have the rapid test. It just so happened that the test site down the street from me is one of them :yeshrug:

The folk that wanted to shut down the economy and wait for the virus to be eradicated looking extra retarded. As said by many, the virus will not go away. It will be with us for a very long time. We have to learn to live with it. Some things will need to be shut down, people will have to get used to living life differently. Wear a gotdamn mask and treat this shyt seriously. Time to start fining people who try to push that no mask garbage. I see maskless people in stores (mostly white) and I wanna punch them in the throat.

It was never about shutting down until the virus went away completely. It was about getting people accustomed to the 'new normal' and while doing our part to curb the spread as every developed, sensible country has at this point.

The time for 'learning to live with it' was before we were getting 60,000 new cases a day. :francis:

That's a huge problem. People get exposed, they go get tested - takes them a week to get results, if they are positive the life of the virus has almost run through. This makes it very difficult to contract trace. We need better testing with quicker results

I'm talking about the people who wanted to shut down the country indefinitely. Learning to live with it was something I said months ago...others too...a small minority but these people were criticized....even till this day they are. All the help the lockdowns have provided have been erased. Sad.

that still would have been the best route. "indefinitely" can mean 3-4 months. the fact that it wasn't shut down is the reason we are where we are.

Its gonna pop back up in NY. Everywhere. I've been saying from the jump the numbers will jump up and down everywhere. No one place should think they are in the clear, we've seen this time and time again the past few months.
If the city returns to over 50% working capacity cases will definitely spike...

The biggest issue remains to be the subway system, its literally a petri dish no matter how much they say they clean the stations and trains...

This is where that dumbass DeBlasio with all his driving restrictions in Manhattan forcing folk to take the subway comes back to bite us in the ass...
