People will call everything "fear-mongering". Meanwhile those of us who had, or lost loved ones to Covid are just trying to sound the alarm.
I lost a good friend to it, he caught it, was intubated and never made it out. Don't even think it took two weeks.
What gets me when people call it "fear mongering" is that nobody ever said "go in a bunker and do the fetal position", they just said "be aware and be considerate of others because this shyt can go left VERY quickly." But somehow, people took basic common sense and politicized it. I don't know why grown fukking adults threw such a tantrum over wearing a cloth mask, washing your hands and keeping your distance, but I know I didn't catch a cold when I was doing everything right.
It was only when I went out to get coffee one day when things opened up more that I ended up catching it.

And it kicked my ass. Not bad enough to scare me, but bad enough to know I was right to get vaccinated and not play around, because God forbid I went against better judgment, didn't get vaccinated and then caught it.
