You know the funny thing about these variants is that if EVERYONE in the US was vaccinated, it wouldn't matter because the mutations are coming from different continents. And they are proving the vaccine to be no where near as effective as previously thought.

Makes you wonder why we won't give our excess amount of vaccines to other countries like India a Peru. If we did, maybe this sort of issue wouldn't be a problem in the first place.

And the US has yet to shut down its own airlines, although I'm not necessarily FOR that option.

BTW, RNA viruses act differently than DNA viruses. And there are somewhere around 4,000 different variants out right now.

well Brother you can ignore what's happening at the border like everybody else and discount what thousands of untested and unvaccinated crossing the border and being placed all around the country every day will eventually mean right now, but you won't when they start announcing exploding numbers and people start complaining about how things were fine until the immigrants were brought in

like that situation up in conn. i heard a lady call into a radio show and say her town had basically beaten Covid, but they brought in 20 families from the border and first the numbers in the daycares they were placed in shot up, now they're saying the whole town is experiencing a rise in cases

but most of the public is as forgetful as they are stupid and won't draw any correlations

Well if we had a better immigration policy we could potentially vaccinate climate refugees coming into the country.

Also before we start scapegoating immigrants we should probably start addressing the incompetence within our borders when it comes curtailing this virus. Up until 2 weeks ago Republicans were anti-vaxx and the majority of them STILL have an issue with wearing a damn mask.

Didn't delta come out of India? Lambda coming out of another unvaccinated country? Aren't all these countries not given enough vaccines because Western countries hoarded most of them?

It's in the best interest of the wealthy nations to not hoard vaccines away from the poorer ones.

This virus could've been spread just as easily by an American traveling abroad and then coming back home.
