Ya'll love shytting on the greatness of Chris Paul :wow:

He never had the team to reach the Conference Finals though

Besides 2015 when they lost that series being up 3-2 against Houston, name another time Paul had a chance to get to the Conf Finals

All these Great players, had great players as their teammates. CP3 never had that luxury :yeshrug:

Do people saying "He's never had the roster talent to reach the finals" really think the Grizzlies have ever had a more stacked roster than the Clippers at any point in the past 5+ years?? Same for the Jazz?? Don't give me the injuries excuse, Utah and Memphis have been just as snakebitten throughout the years. How about the Rockets, do people really think James Harden and Dwight Howard were on a better team than Pauls in 2015? Hell I'm not sure they're more stacked now in 2017 if you look at the rosters purely on paper.

I'll always have love for CP3 but this is damning shyt if you're trying to build an all time legacy and reputation. And there should be no doubt in anyone's mind that that's exactly what he's trying so hard to do. Some of it is horrible luck but when push comes to shove desperately few teams in any professional sport have everything go their way all the time. After a certain point luck doesn't work as an excuse anymore, and it isn't a strong defense of skill/character/talent to begin with. Great players make great things happen even if their luck or their team/organizations might not be so great. Chris Paul has yet to make that happen on the biggest stage still, and he's almost out of time to make it happen.

Dirk in 2011 and TD in 2003 didn't have great players on those respective teams during those particular championship squads.

nikkas love running with that "Duncan had nobody in 2003" lie :russ:

- Bruce Bowen (In his prime, one of the best defenders of his generation)
- Ginobili
- Tony Parker (who averaged 15pts 5 asst that season)
- Stephen Jackson
- Steve Kerr (shooting 40% from 3 that season)
- David Robinson

Since 2001, only two teams haven't reached the Western Conference Finals

:yeshrug: He over acheived wit the hornets and unacheived wit the clips.

That team just can't seem to stay healthy tho. That they main issue. Blake has missed like 3 entire playoffs in a row. He has nobody else in his team when Blake goes down that can create they own shot outside of Crawford who is just a flashy dribbler
Honestly speaking though, can we really say they underachieved? 2012 they lose in the second round after a turnaround from 32-50 the year before. 2013 Blake gets hurt and they lose to the grizzlies. 2014 was when they got hosed by the refs in games 5 and 6, and the last 2 years they've been done in by injuries and had nobody besides Paul or Blake who can really run the offense and keep others involved, which is compounded by Blake being hurt so much. This means they went out one round sooner than they should have in 2015 off their own play and were going to get beat soundly that round anyway (the warriors are 11-1 against them since 2014-15). Does going out in 5 against the warriors in 2015 really make that much of a difference?

Blake without cp3 was 3rd in MVp. With cp3 he looks like an average pf. Cp3 makes them look ordinary because he dominates the ball so much, and doc doesn't do anything innovative on offense

This dude said David Robinson like he didn't average 8 points that year :dead:. Manu averaged 13/4 on 42% shooting and didn't make the all star team either :mjlol:. Kerr was the fukking backup point guard. If you're name dropping the backup at the point, your argument is getting real desperate.

The only one who fits the bill of won without much help is Hakeem and Dirk

Bowen - 1 way player
Ginobili - Rookie who was injured a good chunk of the year
Parker - Benched for Speedy Claxton in key moments of Game 6 of the Finals
Jackson - Journeyman up to that point
Kerr - obligatory white guy
Admiral - back injury sapped most of his athleticism by that time

Surprised you're not acting like the Spurs had prime Kevin Willis and Steve Smith on the squad as well
