Ya'll love shytting on the greatness of Chris Paul :wow:

He never had the team to reach the Conference Finals though

Besides 2015 when they lost that series being up 3-2 against Houston, name another time Paul had a chance to get to the Conf Finals

All these Great players, had great players as their teammates. CP3 never had that luxury :yeshrug:
Dirk never had the luxury either

This dude said David Robinson like he didn't average 8 points that year :dead:. Manu averaged 13/4 on 42% shooting and didn't make the all star team either :mjlol:. Kerr was the fukking backup point guard. If you're name dropping the backup at the point, your argument is getting real desperate.
kerr played 12 minutes a game, and made one 3pt FG per game. What an addition:skip:

Since 2001, only two teams haven't reached the Western Conference Finals

Do people saying "He's never had the roster talent to reach the finals" really think the Grizzlies have ever had a more stacked roster than the Clippers at any point in the past 5+ years?? Same for the Jazz?? Don't give me the injuries excuse, Utah and Memphis have been just as snakebitten throughout the years. How about the Rockets, do people really think James Harden and Dwight Howard were on a better team than Pauls in 2015? Hell I'm not sure they're more stacked now in 2017 if you look at the rosters purely on paper.

I'll always have love for CP3 but this is damning shyt if you're trying to build an all time legacy and reputation. And there should be no doubt in anyone's mind that that's exactly what he's trying so hard to do. Some of it is horrible luck but when push comes to shove desperately few teams in any professional sport have everything go their way all the time. After a certain point luck doesn't work as an excuse anymore, and it isn't a strong defense of skill/character/talent to begin with. Great players make great things happen even if their luck or their team/organizations might not be so great. Chris Paul has yet to make that happen on the biggest stage still, and he's almost out of time to make it happen.

Look at those teams you named though.

Grizzlies only made the Conference Finals once, the year they played the Clippers with Blake hurt and the Thunder with Westbrook hurt, then got swept by the Spurs.

Jazz ain't never made the Conference Finals in the last 5+ years, and won't this year either.

Rockets only made the Conference Finals once, when CP3 played with a pulled hammy the whole series, Blake absolutely folded, and the Rocket bench had that crazy, mind-boggling comeback. If it were up to Harden and Howard, they would have been out in 5 games.

If you're not Golden State/San Antonio/OKC, it's taken some major luck to make it to the WCF the last five years. CP3 ain't never had the fortuitous injury to the other team in the conference finals that propelled him there. He's never had the critical game where his bench stepped up and sealed it against a better team. If a few calls go the other way in 2014, or if CP3 is 100% in 2015, or if Blake doesn't get hurt in 2013, then they have a real chance of making it at least 1-2 times. But they just never had the dominoes fall their way.

Yea, i'm a Rockets fan but that 3-1 choke job by CP3 and the Clippers was inexcusable. Had a 20 point lead in the 2nd half of game 6 and let Houston's own village idiot at the time (Josh Smith) outscore them in the 4th qtr by himself.

I dunno if they would've beat OKC in 2014 even if they had got that 3-2 series lead (by not choking away game 5), but they had the Rockets dead in the water. All the other playoff runs, i got no problem with people using injuries as an excuse but those back to back years... that's just fukking up, badly.

How many of those years was he supposed to? He never had the opportunity to shoot 5-20 with 10 turnovers while his teammate dominated and win.

So wait Blake and deandre are garbage now ????

Not garbage but how can we logically compare Chris Paul who has been the best player on his team every game of his career with say someone who rode Kevin Durant to the finals once

Dirk never had the luxury either

Yall overrate Dirk on here.. Ive always rooted for him since Shaq and Kobe Lakers was bytchin the Mavs for no reason at all no matter how many all stars was on that Mavs squad.. Yall gotta stop with this Dirk overpraise.. I was stupid shocked at Dirk in 2011 cuz dude was going to the paint and just simply feasting.. But yall need to stop.. He was widely seen as soft and only had 2 years where he said "fukk that shyt"... Amazing how we underrate the talent Dirk had simply cuz they beat the Heat.. Ignore 12 years of all stars cuz he beat the Heat.. Now yall declare him untouchable.. Stop it
