If he resigns he got to get on Doc or whoever will be the GM next season about adding some real talent for a change. Time to speak up and stop having this snake oil salesmen put sh*t players around him. Take a page out of banana boat pal LeBron and demand that the front office cut the bullsh*t and get some athletes on this team

doc has to just be the coach, no more GM for him

Looking at it from the clippers perspective. Why are you tying up 200 mil to CP3 and about 150-200 to blake as well? It gets you nowhere past the 2nd round, shyt going forward it might not even get you passed the first round.

Two injury prone players, especially blake. Best bet would be to do some sign trades so they don't walk away with nothing

As a GM, I would not give blake and CP max contracts at this point of their careers
I think the plan with Blake is to resign him and if he's not up to par next season we trade him at the deadline

What if Ainge trades IT and max CP3? His game will probably age better. Keep Horford (:manny:) and try trading for PG , try to get a decent rim protector who can get boards from the IT trade, I don't know who though.
Dedmon is a free agent :ehh:

CP3 - Bradley - PG - Horford - Dedmon

Instant contender in the east, Ainge ain't gonna build anything superior than what the Warrios have anyway.

which is why ainge is staying with his assets while sort of having this playoff squad to cheer up some fans

he is going to wait like 3-4 years until warriors look weaker and bron no more a threat in the east. His plan may as well fail, but if he was going to build a contender he woulda made them trades this offseason

Came in the thread like :why:

Read that 200m and Im like :whoo: :ehh:

Clippers are shyt but they're not that far off from being a problem. I dont think Blake will ever put it together at this point. Hopefully he has a great start to next season (before the inevitable injury/stupid off court issues) and they can try to swap him for a PG, a Butler...Melo, idk :francis: And for God's sake GM Doc pick up some better roleplayers. Get younger, get some shooters to add to CP, Jordan and a star Forward :ehh: Stay healthy and see what you can do. But it starts with getting Blake tfo :camby:

Why is this thread so positive but when Melo resigned with the Knicks everybody was talkin shyt? :why:

people here have an irrational hatred for melo. Makes no sense. They say he plays no d when you have other stars who do the same thing.

listen all I am saying is that both melo and cp3 are on the same level. You said the comparision is not good because melo keep missing playoffs in the east while chris is out there in playoffs every year. But if melo had a supporting cast like chris does he would be in the playoffs too.

media and fans been shytting on melo ever since he left denver for NY as ne never really went far in the playoffs with the knicks, but besides 2011-2013 he never really had a decent squad in NY, the amare and melo project failed as amare kept getting injuries. chris for majority of his career had a teammate who could average around 20 points per game, it was david west from 2007 to 2010 then it was blake from 2012 to now. What Melo had in NY once amare went down? Bum ass JR smith, raymond felton and tyson chandler? Remember the 2013 season where they finished 2nd in the east while his 2nd best teammate that season was pretty much jr smith. It's been a long time since melo actually had a decent squad. Chris been playing with way more talent for a while.

also chris has lots of excuses because clips were unlucky two years in a row with injuries, but last time their squad was healthy they did one of the biggest choking jobs ever in 2nd round.

There is no excuse for a superstar missing the playoffs 4 years in a row in the inferior conference, period. If they are on the same level then you must apply the same standard. If one guy on this level can't make the fukking playoffs in the inferior conference, how does another guy on this level that is there every year in the superior conference even come to mind? Bum ass JR Smith was the 2nd best player on a Finals team the second he left Melo and Chandler was a game changer in the Finals before NY and won fukking DPOY while there. STAT was Blake before Blake and he and Melo couldn't figure it out together. Blake is always hurt or plays like a broad come playoff time. This is a league of wings and the Clippers wings have been absolutely atrocious. Melo is a wing :heh:. I am not gonna act like Chris hasn't had his less than shining playoff moments. I just don't get why folks go so hard on him (in the name of him getting some sort of pass that I must be missing) then ride for Melo for doing even less. Melo gets every excuse in the book for not even making the playoffs, while CP3 is supposed to carry his team to the next round minus Blake or "he choked in the playoffs again".

How is thst moving goalpost??? If you on the back 9 of your career and you havent won you change the situation

It's moving the goalpost because nikkas have been bytching about superteams and not sticking it out for the last 7 years. So basically dudes can't win. You change teams too early and you are a soft ring chasing beta. You stick it out like a alpha too long and you don't really care about winning. In short, nikkas are just miserable and are gonna bytch whatever guys do :mjlol:.

Its Doc whole build of his team

He's trying to build his team like the Celtics

DJ = Kendrick Perkins
DJ actually went and worked on his offense game with Hakeem over one summer and came back that year in preseason games and was actually using the post moves he learned but I assume Doc just wanted him to just grab boards and be a defensive player somewhat like how Kendrick Perkins was in Boston, the mean enforcer per say.

Blake = KG. Doc wanted Blake to develop a 14-17ft jumper but rewind when Blake 1st stepped on the scene his second year how he would score at ease and the game came easy to him, now its, to me, he works to hard for his shot.

Bomaote= Posey. Doc want this guy to be like Posey but what he dont understand, Posey came in off the bench. Paul Pierce gave the C's offense at the 3 spot, the Clippers are getting nothing at the 3 spot.

JJ = Ray Allen. Ray is more a deadly shooter and he wouldn't get lost in the game. With JJ, he will get lost in the game, a lot of times, or would be replaced by Crawford and if Crawford isn't hitting his shots, its ugly. JJ is not Ray Allen but Doc wants him to resemble that role as Ray Allen from that championship team of Boston.

CP3= Rondo, you have somewhat an upgrade with CP3 but the thing is Rondo got everybody invovled and he made the offense more fluid, at times CP3 over dribbles and the offense becomes stagnant. Also Rondo defense was good, not just getting steals like CP3, Rondo would guard your best player at times and lock him down.

I think Doc is just to much focus on trying to build the Clippers like that 2008 & 2009 Boston team.
