Looking at it from the clippers perspective. Why are you tying up 200 mil to CP3 and about 150-200 to blake as well? It gets you nowhere past the 2nd round, shyt going forward it might not even get you passed the first round.

Two injury prone players, especially blake. Best bet would be to do some sign trades so they don't walk away with nothing

As a GM, I would not give blake and CP max contracts at this point of their careers

I remember listening to CP3 on JJ Redikk's podcast and he really wants to win a ring. Yes, everybody does but when you listen to CP3, it's like his career isn't complete without one. I actually think listening to other offers would be a good move. It comes a time where u gotta think about yourself and your legacy. His kids are set especially with the endorsements .Im sure he feels some loyalty to Doc and maybe DJ(being that he went on a plane to convince him not to sign with Dallas). If i were him, Id leave.

1. Clippers aren't close to winning a ring .

2. Clippers don't have a legit fanbase .Listen to how he talked about Utah. How all those fans are homers. No outsiders. They will always be the Lakers little brother.

the only problem is he doesn't have many options. Not even sure the Spurs would make him an offer.

Bu...bu...but he's sticking with it like Magic, Bird, and Mike and not running to form a superteam. He's an alpha that believes he can do it all alone. :mjpls:

:laff: at the myth of the CP3 pass persisting.
Larry magic and michael had already won rings at his age he just wants his money like melo

I was saying he had teammates that are better than what he has now, not better than CP3's now. He's had teammates that were at least comparable to what CP3 has now and his results were the same actually they have been worse (in a conference that everyone wants to say is so inferior when it is convenient). If you are a superstar there is no excuse for missing the playoffs 4 years in a row.

Who is they? Melo has become somewhat of a sympathetic figure in the mainstream due to the Knicks dysfunction and even at his height he never got it any worse that CP3 gets it, despite the differences. And nikkas on here been riding for Melo. This idea that Melo catches hell while CP3 gets a pass (or that getting bounced early in the playoffs can be compared to straight up missing them in the inferior conference) is a figment of nikkas imaginations.
listen all I am saying is that both melo and cp3 are on the same level. You said the comparision is not good because melo keep missing playoffs in the east while chris is out there in playoffs every year. But if melo had a supporting cast like chris does he would be in the playoffs too.

media and fans been shytting on melo ever since he left denver for NY as ne never really went far in the playoffs with the knicks, but besides 2011-2013 he never really had a decent squad in NY, the amare and melo project failed as amare kept getting injuries. chris for majority of his career had a teammate who could average around 20 points per game, it was david west from 2007 to 2010 then it was blake from 2012 to now. What Melo had in NY once amare went down? Bum ass JR smith, raymond felton and tyson chandler? Remember the 2013 season where they finished 2nd in the east while his 2nd best teammate that season was pretty much jr smith. It's been a long time since melo actually had a decent squad. Chris been playing with way more talent for a while.

also chris has lots of excuses because clips were unlucky two years in a row with injuries, but last time their squad was healthy they did one of the biggest choking jobs ever in 2nd round.

Blake for melo will happen 100%> I'm sure doc and cp3 will convince ballmer that's the reason they keep losing. Knicks will do it and Blake only has a year left anyway

What if Ainge trades IT and max CP3? His game will probably age better. Keep Horford (:manny:) and try trading for PG , try to get a decent rim protector who can get boards from the IT trade, I don't know who though.
Dedmon is a free agent :ehh:

CP3 - Bradley - PG - Horford - Dedmon

Instant contender in the east, Ainge ain't gonna build anything superior than what the Warrios have anyway.

If he resigns he got to get on Doc or whoever will be the GM next season about adding some real talent for a change. Time to speak up and stop having this snake oil salesmen put sh*t players around him. Take a page out of banana boat pal LeBron and demand that the front office cut the bullsh*t and get some athletes on this team
