By this logic anyone who earns money in any profession is a business man:heh:
Some people want to excel in their careers as opposed to making as much money as possible. Team sports is one of those areas where sometimes you cant do both at the same time
Well you might not know this and a lot of people aren't taught this, but when you work professionally, you are a business man. You quality and skill will dictate your salary alont with demand for your service, like any other business offered in the market.

You can excel in your business on low return, that is part of business as well. What you probably meant to say wasn't that he isn't a business man, but that he prioritized winning a title over profiting.

Should leave the clippers... But $50mil a year though :yeshrug:

He can provide literally anything for his family moreso than he would have ever imagined. That mansion in L.A. he gonna buy :picard:
fukk the mansion, with that kind of money him bron melo and few others could own a team in the future, they could buy like a smaller market team and rename it to banana boat squad if they wanted :dead:

when did Melo have a better teammates than what CP3 has in LA? I wanna know. The 09 denver nuggets squad? Where he made it to conference finals with one of the most inept coaches of all time george karl who couldnt draw inbound play? Melo never had a better teammates in NY. Deandre and Blake >> Tyson and Amare. And if you bring me blake injury history amare had it even worse than that.

they shytting on melo constantly, much much worse than cp3

I was saying he had teammates that are better than what he has now, not better than CP3's now. He's had teammates that were at least comparable to what CP3 has now and his results were the same actually they have been worse (in a conference that everyone wants to say is so inferior when it is convenient). If you are a superstar there is no excuse for missing the playoffs 4 years in a row.

Who is they? Melo has become somewhat of a sympathetic figure in the mainstream due to the Knicks dysfunction and even at his height he never got it any worse that CP3 gets it, despite the differences. And nikkas on here been riding for Melo. This idea that Melo catches hell while CP3 gets a pass (or that getting bounced early in the playoffs can be compared to straight up missing them in the inferior conference) is a figment of nikkas imaginations.

He choose money over winning. His choice but we can no longer give him a pass for pass now. He had a chance to shape his future

Bu...bu...but he's sticking with it like Magic, Bird, and Mike and not running to form a superteam. He's an alpha that believes he can do it all alone. :mjpls:

:laff: at the myth of the CP3 pass persisting.

Looking at it from the clippers perspective. Why are you tying up 200 mil to CP3 and about 150-200 to blake as well? It gets you nowhere past the 2nd round, shyt going forward it might not even get you passed the first round.

Two injury prone players, especially blake. Best bet would be to do some sign trades so they don't walk away with nothing

As a GM, I would not give blake and CP max contracts at this point of their careers
