Snorting coke and smoking crack result ib very different highs. The crack high and subsequent addiction are stronger. That's a fact. Brehs in the 70s were using coke recreationally. You can't smoke crack recreationally. That's the difference.

Drug use was always a thing. It simply became stronger and addictive with crack. That's not to say nobody was addicted to shyt in the 70s. Obviously heroin was a thing.
People were abusing Cocaine in the 70's, too. I met a guy who snorted so much, his nose had a hole in it. He could take a paper towel, and drag it between both sides of his nose, inside.

Crack was used recreational, its when people couldn't afford it anymore that shyt became negative. A lot of people smoked woolas, but they were able to quit when they saw how addictive it was, and moved on, others couldn't do that. They needed to feel good, but since crack hit poor black communities hard, they had no net to catch them when that high wore off, and they needed more to feel good. Remember cocaine drops your dopamine FAST, and smoking it even faster. If you have money, you have access to food, and less stress, it allows you to fix your dopamine levels. If you are in the hood, its CONSTANT stress, so that aint happening as easy, so this is how addiction starts.

I just watched all these vids from my recommendations a few days ago. I thought Youtube customizes this shyt.

I always hated watching drug documentaries. They make me feel depressed.

I had nightmares from watching "The corner" when I was a kid.

I was cool with watching all sorts of horror movies. But drug addiction movies scared me way more. Idk why.

My childhood wasn't too different from the Corner, especially Gary...

No its not more addictive at all.
The effects of consumption make a more intense experience, but the same can be said for injecting cocaine compared to smoking crack.
The effects of consumption though, don't make the products different. Same exact product, no difference in addiction.
You don't need research and logic, I get it, you like talking about myths and stories, not reality.
Cool
Breh give up this smart dumb nikka argument, you grew up in the burbs if you haven't witnessed the difference between a coke high and Crack high. nikkas snorted blow and we're relatively functional. On Crack they lost their lives literally and figuratively. Idc if the chemicals are the same the fact that the high is more intense was enough to get nikkas hooked at a higher rate. It's not just because Crack was cheaper

Actual science isn't smart dumb, but again, if you feel better believing in myths so be it.
No one lost their lives to crack, the people chose that life style and they'll continue in it until they choose to stop it.

I done told you what's real...... and any nikka that wants to boil down that epidemic to "lil stories" is just as poisonous to the welfare of blacks as racist white folks.... I been saw ya tho... so I'm not surpriesed
repeating myths is what you are telling me. LOL.
Black urbanites who are weak minded have always led themselves astray with drugs.
In the 20s with heroin and opium, with cocaine, with crack, opiods today, and it will continue.
That said acting like stating fact regarding cocaine and crack is magic is the highlight of the day for me. LOL

I agree, but it aint as easy as you make it seem, once depression hits, and you know the crack will help you feel good again, its hard to turn away. That's with anything powerful, even sex, but with crack its such a fast, strong release of chemicals that it drains the brain, and makes it hard to refuel the brain. It can be done, but you have to really want a change, and to live a healthier lifestyle such as eating right, and exercising.

BUT, like you said, it's a choice. Once ex addicts find something else that makes them feel good, they turn away from crack. This is why they go to the church so much, it gives them that dopamine high. AND, they hit rock bottom!

My college John Jay is located in Hell Kitchen/Lincoln Center. Students were scared to leave campus back then.

There’s a methadone clinic next to the school that attracts a lot of junkies still.
Aye Breh, I'm not from NY, so I got some questions:

Is Hell's Kitchen a neighborhood or something?

Where does the name come from?

You said "students were afraid to leave campus", was your college right in the middle of Hell's Kitchen?

the name has disputed origins but supposedly something to do with irish gangs in the1800s.

hells kitchen is midtowon manhattan on the westside from about 34th to 59th st, though thats disputed too a bit.

John Jay is a college on 59th and like 11th ave.
