I’m seeing data analyst jobs being posted for $25-30….

Even now the pay range is capped at like $60 / hr
I see people crying on LinkedIn about only making 50K. I made more than that my first cybersecurity job a decade ago. You probably need a Masters or PhD to get 6 figures in this job market.

Man, do yall understand statistics and evidence? You need to reference the average or median wages for each occupation in order to make comparison. You can't reference your boy or brother as evidence.

Average SalaryThe average annual salary for a barber in the U.S. is around $44,012, with top earners making about $63,328 per year. Income is heavily influenced by tips, number of clients, and hours worked. The average salary for an IT analyst varies, but it is typically much higher than a barber's. For example, salaries in Atlanta, GA, range from $86k to over $129k annually.

There are a good amount of internships for $90-$110/hr. Here’s Amazon for $100/hr.

Even cheap ass Twitter giving a rate of $100k/year for an internship. A lot are mainly in that $150k range which for a Fall Internship is like $30-$40k with living accommodations taken cared of for 3 months.

Mind you it’s an internship so that means people who haven’t graduated yet. That means some smart 18-year-olds are getting these salaries. It’s also low-stress work for the most part: nobody is going to load an intern with critical systems work.

Financial companies on that same site are giving nearly $200/hr to Comp Sci interns as well.

  • The position offers a monthly base salary of $22,000, overtime pay, a sign-on bonus of $20,000, travel coverage to and from the internship, and choice of furnished summer housing or a $10,000 housing allowance. It also includes a $3,300 stipend for self-study materials and a $4,000 stipend for personal technology equipment. If you have any questions about the compensation, please ask one of our recruiters.

White-Collar Workers Want to Switch to the Trades: Report

Roughly 62 percent of the more than 3,000 surveyed employees in the FlexJobs report said they would consider switching from a white-collar to a blue-collar job if it offered better pay and stability than their current role.

Another 45 percent of workers said they were thinking about switching fields entirely, and 44 percent said they daydreamed about starting a business.

Thats reported income though. Barbers can under report, whereas IT workers have a legit paper trail.
