A small truck isn't enough for 2 to 3 kids, where the parents don't know how big they will get.

I think y'all just don't understand SUVs have so much utility in regards to space for moving people and thing. One and done.
Small crew cab truck still has seating for 2 adults and 3 children. a mid sized trick can fit 5 full sized adults. Nobody needs seating for 7 plus. plus a large amount of cargo space in the bed.
you just don't have to waste time converting to do one or the other like you would with an suv. by putting seats up and down.
also since the cargo space is separate from the main cabin, your ac is more efficient

I did it because I needed more room to pack shyt. The fact that I can put my back seats down and make more room in my 2019 Cherokee is a game changer. I was tired of having to pack out my cars and not having enough room

I have Durango. Fits 7 full size adults. Or you 5 adults with all your suitcases and snacks. 9 hour trip to memphis and back.

Not my family it won't. Me and my bro over 6'. Then we got my sister. We wouldn't fit in the back of a small truck. If you have big boys, that small truck won't do.

My coworker got 5 kids. Used an old Tahoe for about 15 years then downgraded to a small SUV once they all left. And that brings up another point, a lot of older Americans find it hard to get up out of a car that sits low to the ground. A SUV they can slide out of.

Depends on the truck. You wouldn't fit in the back of tacoma with its outdated design. but a chevy colorado would have plenty of room for you in the back (pause)
And i'm not talking about giant full sized trucks, but the mid sized ones.
Trucks have plenty of clearance from the ground. which why they often come equipped with running boards

I'm willing to take your word for it but

this is the back seat of a ford ranger, a midsize truck. And you know people love their entertainment and snacks. It's cramped back there. :francis:

Colorado and the GMC Canyon has most space in the back in the midsize truck market. I researched it before buying. I'm 5'11" and most my friends and fam or around 6 ft.
at least it did when i bought mine, its last gen

not me. I have never owned an SUV in my life.

there's was ever only 4 people in my family max, and there was never an issue getting the 4 of us in a regular car.

SUV's have worse fuel economy and cost significantly more. auto manufacturers love them because they have a much higher profit margin than a regular sedan.

I don't see myself ever getting an SUV personally.
Couldn't agree more, I do not like SUVs other than the extra leg room

I like sedans and coupes
