The average annual average salary in the U.S. is $66,622. The median annual salary, which is often less skewed by outlying numbers, is $61,984. It's worth noting that average and median salaries vary quite a bit by state.:francis:

U expect people to afford a $60 to $90k truck plus home, utilities, etc etc

And some people are willing to work 90 hours a week for a SUV/truck

No, but companies know people will do it anyway.

If nobody bought overpriced SUVs, the prices would drop overnight.

car market bubble should be crashing any minute cause people not buying new cars anyways...from what i heard

No people are most definitely buying new cars, overpriced ones at that. It reflects in the stat of the average car loan payment of $745/month.

Part of the meltdown around Gen Z men not dating is not upholding the economic understanding that comes with the social contract.

Most couples today are pairing up and acquiring things they could not as a single person... because they're "supposed to" have certain things.

When most people don't need them. Chevy and Ford only have 1 actual car on the website. Meanwhile gas hasn't been under $3.00 since 2019. The oil/gas lobby has helped prevent EV charging infrastructure which has allowed other countries to lap us, even the the US spearheaded the EV movement. Looking out my window at work and all i see is 90% trucks or SUV's. :mindblown:
I think its deeper than that. big cars and guns is basically the same root cause :russ:
