Credit limit went from $450 to 900

For anyone wondering, my credit is bad because when I got dropped out of school I let my student loans sit for a long time without paying them or deferring

People under 700 are getting approved for Amex platinum.

Amex is great you just gotta know the game to max out on the benifits for those annual fees. They also have cards with low to 0 annual fee. I’m a platinum card holder myself, I love it but it’s only worth the $700 if you max out on the travel perks

But how? How do you even get into debt or credit fukkery as a kid? Getting scammed and stuff usually happens in ones twenties.

We get issued cc at age 18 in america and most folks still at home and don't realize credit importance until they really live on their own. I upped my credit once i got rejected left and right. I had 5k in cash for security and still was denied apartments. But it all boils down to lack of knowledge in the long run. Alot of parents dont even know credit like that, they just floating themselves.

Most folks don't even know what I interest rates are and how it's calculated. Don't know how statements are generated to even manage it.

The only exposure I got was my finance courses in college where u had to calculate rates and do simple interest and etc.

Navy fed to be exact the giving out 25k on marginal credit

When it comes to credit limits nobody is fukking with NFCU.

I have 3 credit cards with them. 40K, 36K, and 3K limits. My FICO score is currently 817 but when I start with NFCU it was low 700's and they still started me out at 17K credit limit on my first credit card with them.

If you're a responsible adult and eligible for a NFCU account and don't have one, you're fukkin up! NFCU is probably the best credit union in the country IMO.
