why you tryna spin something on me breh? :beli:

i'm just saying breh, we gotta think about the bigger picture. i'm happy for any successful black male, but as 84 said, this really doesn't do anything for any of us or the black community as a whole. All these "successful" actors and athletes and musicians.where are the black owned leagues? Where are the black owned tv networks and movie studios? Where are the truly black owned record labels.

Why dont ya'll get it? White people dont like blacks. Period. Never have never will. Why do ya'll choose to ignore this very apparent fact and get happy when they show that they "accept" us. Stop it. They prop up a few because the denial of racism is critical to maintaining racism.

Blacks been getting roles since minstrel shows, it means shyt tbh.

edit- also whenever blacks question why these rich folks dont give back, the typical response is that they dont owe black people anything. ok fine, then we shouldn't feel obligated to support them. everything should be reciprocal

It's more symbolic to me then anything :manny:. I don't really care for what the whites would think but to me its great seeing brothers leading the flagship in huge franchises. The little boy in me is especially happy. If I could relive my childhood with more black heroes in great movies and huge franchises I would.

I do agree it does little for us directly. I would like to see a lot more black directors and black funded films with success that rivals their counterparts and maybe we'll get there one day. But I see positives in this right now. Am I satisfied? Of course not but it does give me some hope and joy.

Yeah. One flaw is that he's extremely concerned about the white girl in the second half which left me like :mjpls: at times but if you look past that he's a really dope character. Pretty much saves the galaxy in fact :wow:

What else did you see fam :mjpls:
Straight Outta Compton

 I think I saw another at my local theater...cuz I was in ATL and the traffic was so bad I went to a theater (to see SOC) for it to thin out.

I'm a Red Box type breh, so, I don't do the theaters. But, next time I go in seeing Creed BEFORE it gets to Redbox (I'm buying it on BluRay).
