Wcw's dying days >>>the wwe past 8 years... as convoluted and disjointed as their product was I never got the feeling that they weren't trying or didn't care about the product. They were throwing everything and anything at the wall, the vast majority of it sucked but the effort was there, you haven't had that with the E in years. Very few are booked in a meaningful way and even then it's booked it such a safe and boring way.

Truth. WWE now is just a bunch of matches thrown out there cold, guys given mics with nothing to work with. No pre tapes, no vignettes, commercials during matches, no hooks before the commercial breaks....shyt is a cure for insomnia. worst of all all of us know whats gonna happen every week. its basic as hell, no creativity whatsoever.

Lucha underground is where its at if you actually want storylines. WWE just lame shyt, they even make dope wrestlers make you not care about their matches.

The merge don't have anything to do with wcw`s crappy booking in it's last years.

Whats funny is we were kids during the attitude era so we just watched and loved it. The internet fans of that time would shyt on the booking and storylines. Meltzer even buried the Mick Foley/Rock this is your life segment. Thats Vince Russo shyt. I say this cause internet fans never change. Russo still getting buried.

If you watch any of these Nitros you guaranteed will be more entertained than watching Raw every week in 2016. The David Flair storylines were just a subplot, never a main event yet have more effort put into them than any of the main event shyt in WWE today. Thats not even an opinion, they filmed a ton of segments for him. Dean Ambrose is booked as a lunatic, but he never does any crazy shyt. David Flair in ONE episode got interviewed in a bummy ass house, clotheslined and figure four'ed the mailman outside his crib, raided a Chuck E Cheese, busted into an old mans house, and beat up pedestrians with a golden crowbar. THATS a lunatic. And he did it all cause his bytch left him at the altar and her baby aint his....thats something. And again it was just a random subplot breh. Name any story today......im not even saying name a story that compares....im just saying name a storyyy period.

Whens the last time they filmed something for Owens? Never? Rollins? whomever. They dont care anymore. Stephanie killed wrestling, not Russo.

I'd rather have ANY storyline over the current no storyline, BS. Disco Inferno's disco duck is more over than the whole current roster. Mike Awesome's Bus is more over than Dean Ambrose. You cant even name a storyline for any current wrestler in the business. Aint shyt happening, its just wrestling matches. Promos are just I will win at the PPV, theres nothing there.

Nah those last 2 or 3 years of wcw had some of the worst stuff in the history of pro wrestling. Russo had a huge hand in the dip in quality for wcw.

Wrestlers were just coming in for a paycheck and guys like big show, jericho, and the radicalz left due to frustration.

Today's wwe may be lacking in a lot of areas, but they ain't putting on garbage like wcw was doing towards their last years.

Its lazy as hell now. People just point out match types and who won when it comes to Russo. Nothing about it ever being boring or not entertaining. Thats mark shyt. Creativity and effort is gone. If you wanna watch Owens vs Sami on Raw with no story or build up , cold as fukk for 20 mins.......thats on you. I think Russo woulda made that feud a spectacle and reason to tune in week to week. If I miss Raw next week, I aint missing shyt.

In 2016 they have a ton of talented guys, way more than that WCW period but they have 0 direction, 0 effort put into any of them. Thats why I prefer seeing the Kat squash Disco inferno over this shyt, cause at least there was a story. Disco put up his boys titles without telling them, then lost in 20 seconds which led to Juvie and Rey turning on him and chasing him out of the building. On Raw this week you just see wrasslin matches and nothing else. Who cares.

I am going into this with a clear mind and I will be objective. I ain't seen most of this shyt, a lot of the segments known as WOAT segments that left me that I did see, I had seen out of context.

So far with how they've done this reboot, worked/shoot aside it does make sense. Let's see how long it continues to

Rusev Reigns, Jericho Sami, new day the club have storylines? To me it's just dudes wrestling and cutting generic ima beat you promos plus some bad comedy. Every week is the same shyt, tell me where's the story... I said this in the network thread, Mike Awesome getting his bus tagged up is more of a storyline than this shyt. It gave a reason as to why he should fukk up vampiro. Why should Rusev fight reigns and not someone else? All these guys are interchangeable nowadays, all the feuds are the same shyt.

Note that raw got its lowest rating in 20 years. This is a show for the super marks. Nobody watches this shyt anymore. WCW at its worst was pulling in 3's up to 3,5s with Russo writing. Russo wrote the highest rated segment in Raw history....if that's trash then what's good. to me it's weird how the Internet fans hate on this dude n give Raw a free pass. Nowadays with shyt like Lucha Underground you can see what a wrestling company should look like. We have something to compare Raw to since that show has a nice budget.. LU is clearly better in every facet, top to bottom...WWE has the money but they don't put the effort in whatsoever.

The last four months of WCW was actually pretty good. Steiner was a good heel champion with Booker T chasing after him. They were starting to push younger talent like Elix Skipper, Mike Sanders, Romeo, the Yung Dragons, the guys in 3 Count, etc.
