Last time I was there, it was shady. Like, the family of my boy was showing us around, and then mysteriously disappeared on us at suspect times.

I was paranoid that I was getting set up, but nothing happened.

Honestly man, Atlanta cats are probably the most lying sneaky underhanded nikkas in the USA outside of NY and Chicago.

It's big enough that they operate without static.. but small enough that people know your people. I think that the greater denominator in a lot of crime is obviously the big money connected/boule type nikkas. I never got into that. I was delving into the music business with a dude from Macon at the time and I saw the depth of the rabbit hole from the door.

I did an about face and just left that shyt alone and made fruity loops beats in my living room. Eventually I moved. fukk that life.

Word. I used to rhyme and do spoken word at this joint called JazzPlex in Macon and these nikkas rolled up one night. I was performing a song with a nikka named Jon that was an upcoming artist. The dudes from the label wanted to sign me that night. I learned a lot of shyt from Jon about those cats because he was already signed w/ them. They gave him a 20K advance and this nikka had 2 albums due to them. He told me about the stories about mansion parties. How he met Cee-Lo and all these other DF nikkas. Plus other shyt that I'm not even going to reintroduce. Let me just say that during the Bleu Davinci/BMF era... There was a lot of big business. I'm glad I never got caught up in that shyt man. I'm a writer and a poet. Not a dope nikka.

I was in the music biz for a bit in ATL from like 2004-2008. ATL is small enough where even if you rollin with one of the lesser known record labels, somebody knows the big dawgs. Anyway, I was close enough to some cats to where I would hear things and low key I have seen some shyt.

I think this was also around the time that BMF kidnapped Jazzy Pha. There are some shady cats in the music biz in Atlanta. Our studio got robbed twice. After that I said I was out. fukk that shyt.

Those transplants moved to atl because jobs was plentiful.

I remember after katrina we got a lot of transplants from that area and everyone was scared crime would spike. Never really did, only a couple incidents involving NO folks. But yes @Mansa Musa , I just don't feel I need to carry my gun everywhere. I mean, that could all change after I got hemmed up but I think it's better I leave my gun at home sometimes Maybe I'm being naive but....idk...

Macon does have a lot of crips, they are in Bibb County and their saying is Bitch I Been Bangin but their crime rates are lower than Atlanta so it's relatively safe. IMHO you have to go find trouble in GA period because we have jobs and the racism is more overt so it's easier to circumvent it unless you get caught up in the legal system.

Just to put it in perspective, I don't have a college degree just some college and I make enough money to pay me and my wife's bills, stack some money, and buy some of the extras in life. Any dummy out here can go get a warehouse job and bust down 50k a year with ot if you're not lazy and stay out of trouble. That 50k will get you a nice crib anywhere out side of Metro Atlanta and you can live a good life especially if your ole lady has a decent lil job at a call center or some sh1t, y'all can bring in a household income of atleast 80k if you focus and live like kings and queens if y'all work together.

As far as the streets go, that's always available and the money is plentiful because we're not territorial unless you're in the projects. You can play the street life and have a mobile trap out of your car but it's not necessary, I would rather get off my ass and work my two decent paying jobs.
