i remember in "to kill a mockingbird" the lawyer supposedly good was named Atticus.

i have heard that name before crispy atticus always assumed it was from the book.

Heard about him in the 80s during grade school..

Back then we had teachers that actually gave a shyt about teaching about black people in history..

i think the writer harper lee was paying homage to crispus attucks, thats just an assumption. but deep thread i had to do my googles because i dont know much but the name.

The irony is I heard he was Native American and Black.

Would be interested in a short doc on who he actually was....:jbhmm:

I know there was more than just him fighting..

It's just interesting how white people exclude contributions from black people in the founding of this country, yet are shocked at the behavior of people who's constantly left out of its history..

Fun Fact: The second POTUS John Adams defended the soldiers who participated in the Boston Massacre and got them off. He proclaimed the crowd provoked the soldiers because it was composed of "a motley rabble of saucy boys, negroes, and molattoes, Irish teagues and outlandish Jack Tarrs" :mjpls:
