Been playing a lot this weekend and about 12 hrs in near the end. The weapons and shooting are the highlights. Every gun has a charge sequence and once the shot goes off it's an explosion.
Inventory management seems like it's more important than even RE. Extra slot upgrades are key.
Bloober has great atmosphere in their games and it's another strong point here.
Not finished yet but story is a sci Fi slow burn. I was halfway in and still guessing. Interested to see if they can end it well.
Overall its a mixture of RE, Dead Space, Alan Wake, and SH2 (atmosphere not puzzles). It pulls from a lot of different survival horror I just wonder if it's unique enough for it to be memorable.
Oh and it's got some of the best timed jump scares in games or movies. I usually think those are cheap but they're so well done I had to give it up
