Music is art and culture basketball is not. There are stats you can use to point out who is more effective. Not so much in music. And the cultural aspect is important. Em has gotten treatment from fans white ones in particular that provide him a huge advantage in "who is the best" discussions.

Mariah isn’t a rapper, she’s a singer. Everyone else weren’t getting any real attention compared to Em cause he was the white rapper and all of those fans supported him. Benzino wasn’t gonna ever sell anything, but he’s made his stamp and got songs with legends. Canibus is good in his own way. Ja was with Jay & X and distanced themselves after. Having Dre by his corner was a automatic win.
