Nah you still on the ropes fam. You said less offensive/attention for El Dorado ... while d coordinators used to game plan to stop Mawse. Meaning they dedicated mutiple on field personnel to shut down a wr, and Mawse would still get his. Others feasted off mawse simply being on the field because he'd take 2 defenders with him wherever he went.

Moss still had more pass attempts thrown his way but produced less than TO... thats is a damning thing for him

He never got a chance too :dwillhuh:

He played only 7 games post Randy before he got hurt and they let him go at the end of the season when they cleaned house after the Love Boat shyt

shyt the entire team struggled not just Culpepper, they traded Moss and drafted bum ass Troy Williamson. Of course there was issues early in the season

nikka never got a full healthy season to build upon 2004

Our best receivers were Travis Taylor and Marcus Robinson :dame:

Vikings were traditonally stable at QB when Daunte finally became starter :stopitslime:

They had Warren Moon for a while, who gave way to Brad Johnson, then to Randall and Daunte was drafted as his successor. That stability ended once he got injured.

It wasnt until Daunte got hurt and they released him that we started going through the cycle of scrub QB's before we got Teddy.

And please show me where any of them dudes outside of Favre in 09 were putting up numbers :usure:

He went to Miami and got rushed back on the field and was a shell of himself then. If he could've stayed in Minnesota and got healthy his career would've ended much better.

Red McCombs really fukked y'all over before selling the team to Zygi Wilf.

EDIT: :pacspit: And fukk Red for trying to coax Tom Benson into moving the Saints to San Antonio.

Do any of yall think Calvin Johnson can surpass t.o and moss
He has the ability but honestly I don't think so. An underrated part of TO's and Moss's careers is how durable they were well into their mid-30's. Calvin seems to be breaking down more and more although hopefully it's been just a rough patch the last couple of years. He can probably catch up to them in terms of yards and receptions the way Detroit force feeds him the ball but he's got a long way to go with touchdowns.

I said this in another thread too but postseason success will be a factor in how he's ranked if he doesn't get some wins under his belt (fair or not). He's already 30 and is 0-2 in the playoffs whereas Owens and Moss have had success even when they weren't playing with star QB's.

Nicca?

No you just didnt??

OK the stats speak for themself:

Targeted:
Moss - 1742 TO - 1706
Receptions: Moss - 982 TO - 1078
Total Rec Yards: Moss - 15292 TO - 15934
TD: Moss - 156 TO - 153
Career Yards Per Game Avg: Moss - 70.1 TO - 72.8
Receptions Per Game Avg: Moss - 4.5 TO - 4.9

Its funny you say that, its crazy to think that Moss had more passes thrown toward him but yet has less receptions than TO. I mean lets do the math 1742-982= 760 incompletions.

I do know Moss was a better run blocker than Moss

To and Moss was a debate back in the day. It's only that after their careers died down people tried to rewrite history and pretended "it wasn't close". And the numbers back it up. I'll still take Randy tho

TO was drafted to a 49ers squad that was a year removed from the SB and played a lesser role with Steve Young at QB for 3 of his 4 playoff victories. Pretty sure Megatron would have a playoff win or two playing for that squad. His other win came with a guy that was going to pro bowls that Matt Stafford has yet to truly prove he's superior to. I'm not gonna put Calvin over TO or Moss yet either but I damn sure ain't gonna use the playoff success of a historically moribund franchise as the basis.
