Was upstaged by Martin when he opened for Chris and how he wasn’t embraced by the black community until ‘Bring The Pain”.

Its a good joke but to act like it doesn't walk the respectability politics line is just disingenuous, hence why Chris Rock supposedly saying he "regrets" the joke, because as black people we can automatically contextualize it but outsiders will/would use it as ammunition. Yeah people underrate how different shyt was back then as far as comedy went. I mean everybody is trying hard to include everybody in everything now which is cool, but bask then the same comedian could tear the roof off of Def jam and get straight up crickets at some white club. Seems like shyt changing like it did ended up being bad for a lot of black comedians.

They didn't know what to do with him...so he was frustrated.That frustration led to him ad libbing in the sketch which got him canned.

No you are simply wrong he was on 11 episodes thats not enough time to flop is my point. Most are given very little to do when the first debut on snl.
