Just because we are thinking rationally about the reality of American citizens is not being obtuse, racist or dumb.

It's a valid issue. Displaced American people should be given the same opportunity as Dreamers.

All displaced citizens could provided proof why they were displaced and easily receive with Dreamers as well a pathway to assistance.

Dreamers haven't not being paying into a federal system longer an American citizen though. Some dreamers have been undocumented Longer than they were Dreamers. The Dream Act is fairly new.

Dreamers didn't up and get assistance with a snap of the finger. Many spent years being undocumented. It's a slow process just like everything else.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo wants to give another break to immigrant Dreamers by extending free public college tuition to students who were brought into the United States illegally as kids.

Cuomo tucked a provision in his $168 billion budget plan that would amend state education law to make the undocumented students eligible for the Excelsior Scholarship program, which covers tuition costs for students from families with incomes of up to $125,000.

On Tuesday, he said the state would continue providing Medicaid to Dreamers regardless of any federal changes to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA.

But Republicans in the state Senate said they won’t go along with Cuomo’s latest idea.

“We don’t support giving free college tuition to people who are here illegally,” said Senate GOP spokesman Scott Reif.

if you are talking about big construction jobs, probably not, since those sites regularly hire unionized and highly skilled workers, and a lot of those highly coveted union jobs are off limits to undocumented workers.

residential construction companies (home remodeling) is something else those companies do seem to hire more undocumented workers

so its better if you get discriminated by a Citizen? either way its discrimination, being a citizen whos doing it won't change anything
