OP, I did something similar my senior year of HS

For months I had been parking in the staff only lot with no sticker. Around 3pm dismissal a dean or security would come wait by my car to see if it was a student.

I’d wait til 3:15 then bounce, and after a few days they stopped waiting and I was cool the rest of the year. fukk I look like paying $85 a semester to park at a damn high school

when i moved back to NYC i had expired out of state plate and paperwork.
got pulled over a few times and NYC cops either couldn't check the status of my shyt or just didn't want to take the time.
i handed them my out of state license and some mail from the insurance, watched him walk away and rolled a cig thinking this is the last one for a while.

he came back and gave me a ticket that would have been 12 points on my license.
i got to work and told my boss what happened.
he called his cop buddy and got it erased 45 minutes after i got to work.

a few weeks after that there was a huge scandal over tickets getting fixed that put an end to that.
dodged a bullet that time but there was more fukkery to come.

i had expired inspection stickers as well.
both times they hit me for the expiration rather than the speeding.
this happened right when covid hit.
got a letter in the mail a few months later saying that my case has been suspended indefinitely.

i should prob check the DMV site for my status.
