Customers telling you to smile unappreciation

I hate it when I'm at work and someone comes up to me and tells me I need to smile. I told a lady yesterday if she had to deal with the people I deal with everyday she wouldn't smile either.And as a Assistant Manager I have to work 12 hours a day with only an hour for a break so of course I am not going to be cheerful the whole day.And most of the time its elderly cacs who tell me I need to smile more.

it's funny how telling someone to perk up has the OPPOSITE effect most times. it's like telling someone to be calm. people like to be in control of their dispositions...

I like to imagine how fast I'd end up in HR if I went around telling women to smile more at work.
