Cut Tical 2000 down to 17 songs and you've got a great album. Debatable classic even

Great album OP but I actually think the worst song is judgement day.

I always loved that beat. It was on some 2768 futuristic b-boy shyt :pachaha:

Tical 200 was fire minus the excess. This was late 90s when album promo and budgets were insane. Meth just did too much but some of those songs were incredible. All the joints OP listed and a few more. That album had the most replay value out of the joints that dropped around that time to me. I always thought flesh of my flesh was overrated.

Flesh does not hold up AT ALL to me. I was shocked when I listened to it again earlier this year

How you gonna cut out Break ups 2 make up:picard:

It would've been better suited somewhere else as D'angelo featuring 1 or 2 Meth verses....as it is on this album, I'm not fond of it :yeshrug:

I keep coming back to this album and honestly? It's got some of Meth's best work on here. Trim the fat and it would've been better recieved...you can't tell me these tracks still don't go hard

These 2 in particular have RIDICULOUS production with verses to match

:dahell::wow:

:scust::hhh:

and so on. Streetlife was all over this album and didn't waste a single verse or feel out of place. Shame he never got out of Meth's shadow after this.

As I said, cut this down to 17 songs and you would've had a banger. Possible classic.

1. Judgement Day (Intro)
2. Perfect World
3. Cradle Rock
4. Dangerous Grounds
5. Sweet Love (just tack the 7 second skit to the beginning of this...no idea why that wasn't the case)
6. Shaolin What
7. Torture
8. Suspect Chin Music
9. Spazzola
10. Grid Iron Rap
11. Step By Step
12. Play IV Keeps
13. Snuffed Out
14. Elements
15. Killin' Fields
16. Big Dogs
17. Judgement Day

That right there is at least 4 mics :ehh:. Perfect World is the only questionable track for me and that's really only because of the beat but Meth kills his verses well enough for me to keep it.

All those unnecessary skits really killed this album's momentum, even the "funny" ones. Retro Godfather isn't a terrible song, but it doesn't deserve to share the album space as the rest. Party Crasher is just mediocre all around, from the verses to the beat. And I might catch some flack for this one but Break Ups 2 Make Ups never did much for me, prime D'angelo be damned. :yeshrug:

If this was the album we got, perception of his career probably would've turned around. We might've still got Blackout with Red but I can confidently say we wouldn't have gotten the :trash: that was Tical 0. Whatever 4:21 would've become wouldn't have been a "too little, too late" album that was better recieved.

If only though....

well said... i always though party crasher was dope though :yeshrug:

Me too.

"Me, and mine at the door, ain't tryna pay a fee...stop playing, you're fukkin wit me. We push our way in"

One of my favorite tracks on the album tbh.

And those skits definitely should have been left off. You leave the skits off this album and it's :banderas:

this album had too much fire on there- the skits weigh it down but it's not too bad if you listen to them, they were kinda quick. to me this is meth's best album. too many joints on here. rza, true master, 4th, sermon, havoc etc laced this album. I never understood why meth tried to downplay it. the more I listen to it, it shows meth lyrically destroyed this. I like all meth albums personally, I think tical 0 was just not as good as the other ones production wise. it didn't match up to the others.

if you go song for song, very good album, but the skits threw off the flow.
